Review 1 of 18

Price Paid:  $135000.00 from Illinois

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Z8 BMW

Summary:
I live in the LA area and bought the car over the phone. Had it delivered at my front door with 11 miles on the odometer? I have driven it approx 6K miles and still love the car. I owned a 2002 996 TT and this is, in every way, a nicer car. Don’t get me started on the TT. By the way before the 996 I owned a 91 and then a 95 NSX. Both NSXs were great cars, though underpowered. The Z8 is fun to drive, hard to drive slowly, and very comfortable. I took advantage of the BMW offered driving experience, spending 2 days at their facility, beating one of their Z8s. The instruction was great and I was able to see what the car could really do when pushed. This is a great program that will make any driver a better and safer driver. Even in the posh LA area where TT Porsches and Ferraris are seen everywhere, the Z8 is rarely seen and always appreciated. If you get the chance to own one, even a used one, do so, you won’t be sorry.

Strengths:
Overall quality of build fit and finish. Great attention to detail. Wide torque range and very drivable. Great braked and predictable handling. Toss it around like a toy.

Weaknesses:
Very poor sound system – way too much bass. Probably much better with the top off. I don’t tolerate sun so I have never had the hardtop off of the car.

Review 2 of 18

Price Paid:  $130000.00 from Canton BMW Dealer

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 /Z8

Summary:
This car is the standard for excellence. The classic style mixed with the exceptional power, handling, performance, and prestige of the most expensive cars and future greats. This is the 507 of it's time. Better than a Ferrari, Bently, or Aston Martin. The confort of the Z8 is extrodinary heated seats, steering wheel, and much more perks. Overall the Z8 is a very great car at a exceptionaly great price.

Strengths:
Speed, handling, conforts, headlights and tail lights. Basically the whole nine yards.

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Aston Martin V-12 Vanquish, Bently, and Ferrari Spyder

Review 3 of 18

Price Paid:  $119000.00 from Car Dealer

Summary:
An absolute beauty of a car. The handling is magic and it runs so smoothly at high speeeds. I''d highly recommend this car to anyone even considering buying one. It''s worth every cent!

Strengths:
The handling around corners and the smooth speeds it can reach make it the BMW''s best sports car yet. The interior is clean cut and the body looks even better.

Weaknesses:
The car does tend to overpower itself from time to time and the layout inside is hard to adjust to as it is a little strange.

Similar Products Used:
Porsche 928 and Mercedes SLK220

Review 5 of 18

Price Paid:  $80.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Z8

Summary:
I've had it for 2 months and I clipped the off-side alloys on a verge but other than that one worrying moment I have loved every minute of driving this car. Well.. except for being pulled over by the police, let's see, three times now. The think I'm speeding when in reality I'm just getting to the speed limit very quickly :)

I love the design. I love the engine. I love the folding roof (even though I DO live in London). But.. it's just a car and I park it in public (other posted was worried about that).. if it get's trashed it get's trashed but frankly people just stop and look.. walk round and round a couple of times.. smile and continue on their way.

All I need to do now is get that house in the South of France....

Strengths:
It looks loverly. It's a lot of fun if you have never driven something like this. Love it to bits.

Weaknesses:
Being left hand drive.. I have to get-out to get parking tickets, pay tolls, and all of that. Wish the boot.. sorry trunk (), was just a tiny little bit bigger. The computers get in the way sometimes but then they save me lot's of rubber too..

Similar Products Used:
No idea but it's a lot more fun than my old Ford Focus. ;)
