Called a Sports Activity Coupe by BMW, the BMW X6 is a new crossover SUV touted as a synthesis of coupe-like agility with Sports Activity Vehicle versatility. With five doors and four seats, the X6 combines a coupe profile with a higher ride height and offers a surprising amount of cargo space.
The X6 is available in two trims, the xDrive35i and the xDrive50i. The xDrive35i is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, I6, 300-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 20-mpg on the highway. The xDrive50i is equipped with a standard 4.4-liter, V8, 400-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 12-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.
