When I first listened to theese, I was astonished by the differense from my old coax 6x9. I should,however,never had listened to the 6,5"Pro, cause then I realized the difference to true HiFi.. Compared I think the upper midrange is much to "hard"-sounding, maybe it's the material of the cone. It's like it's hiding and won't come properly out of the driver, and when you crank it up it'll hurt your ears. Also the upper bass was very absent when I had them in the doors. However, putting them in an enclosure fixed this. I run 'em with 50w/ch and they could use more, maybe 80-100w to get the full potensial out of 'em. Earlier when I used a bigger amp I experienced that they hit bottom, so they work best in sealed enclosures at high volumes.. I've decided to upgrade to Focal Utopia and hopes that will cure my sensitive ears =) Similar Products Used:
