Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $200.00 from www.cerwinvega-carfi

Strengths:
Stiff cone, loud with small amplifiers (200+ W), can go into small closed enclousures if you don't need so much SPL, about 1 ft^3. Get much for your money! Extreme deep bass, tested em with a 32 Hz tuning first time Whoohoo!

Weaknesses:
I've heared that they easily rip apart, haven't had problems and i play em HARD! But if you listen to the subwoofers, don't let em distort and use a subsonic filter, and you'll be fine!

Summary:
Ok i've paid alot for these subs, but you can't get em cheaper than that in denmark. I absolutely love these subwoofers, i've got 2 of em in ~5 ft^3 tuned to 40 Hz. Powerd by a german Monacor D-REX it puts out nearly 1200 W rms. So i'm running the vegas over their rated specs. But they take it fine, but i think more wouldn't gain much, and maybe rip them apart. The SQ is fine, even if you give em the max. And the SPL is really nice and loud! I can feel the bass hardly in my chest, my ears hurt a bit and my vision blurrs at some frequencies :-) !

Similar Products Used:
CV Stroker 12", MDS Fan 12", Boxter 8", Velocity 12", Soundstream SPL170, for now i like the vegas most!

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $109.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1999

Strengths:
Deep bass, get a nice response with the right amp. Would not get any other sub.

Weaknesses:
Could not find any.

Summary:
I have 2 12" in an dual ported box in my trunk and with both of them powered by a Rockford Fosgate 800a4 amp bridged to both subs, the bass is so nice. You can hear me coming from blocks away with the volume up. Can stand a lot of power with a max of 800 watts each. You would have to run a lot of juice to these subs before you blow them. Would recommend that everyone get one or two of there own and see the difference in the music with a$$ kicking bass hitting you in spine. Would not recommend these subs to those that are not into the bass because they will rock your trunk without a doubt.

Strengths:
very loud low-freq. bass

Weaknesses:
quik slide terminals.needs a bass cube by phoenix gold. but those are minner.

Summary:
HAS TO BE USED IN A BOX OF 2.21 CUBIC FEET. THIS SUB HAS VERY GOOD BASS, I CAN HEAR IT BLOCKS AWAY WICH IS GOOD FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO SHOW OFF THERE BASS.THIS SUB NEEDS POWER TO MAKE THE VEGA HIT, OTHERWISE DONT BUY IT IF YOUR NOT GOING TO BE POWERING THE SUB WITH 400 WATTS OF JUICE.
