Year / Model Reviewed:
 Clarion APA4162 Multi/Channel Amplifier

Strengths:
Built in adjustable crossover, adjustable input voltage, extremely clean for recommended power.

Weaknesses:
None if used for mids and highs.

Summary:
I have owned over 10 amps in 20 years. This amp is very Clean and versatile. Perfect for component speakers or small in dash speakers. Perfect to mix and match speakers of different SPL levels. This is not the amplifier you want for subs but is Perfect for everything else. performed flawlessly now for over 4 years.

Review 3 of 3

Strengths:
Good power, 4 channels, built in crossovers easy to adjust and very responsive, slim design, doesn't get too hot

Weaknesses:
It is put out more power, it'd be perfect, but I'm sure clarion does that for more money.

Summary:
I paid about 250 for this amp and it's great. I've hooked up Boston Acoustics CX7s to it, Alpine 6x9s, Eclipse 8393s, infinity components, and focal mistrals. Along with my face that pushes 40 watts per channel, it's powered everything I've hooked to it well.

I think this is a great amp. It really makes it easy for you to favor one set of speakers over another with separate gain control and it can be bridged for 2 speakers and an amp. Personally, I have this driving all my speakers and another amp for the sub. Overall, I'm very happy and would reccomend this to anyone. It's small enough to fit under a seat, and it's only like an inch and a half tall, so I have it mounted on the rear wall of my trunk and lost 0 space.
