from Digital Designs Home Year / Model Reviewed: 2000 DD915 Strengths: Everybody swears you're rockin' four 12s! And girls like it when their seat vibrates! ;) Weaknesses: Don't be suprised when your rear view mirror falls down multiple times and your battery and alternator fails within two weeks of install. Oh yeah, and cops don't like it when you blame your taillight bulbs popping out of socket on your big boomin, arthritis agitatin, hearing aid shatterin, peace destroyin subwoofer. Anything less would actually be... CIVILIZED! Summary: I owned this speaker for over two years before it mysteriously "disappeared". It is hands-down the meanest single speaker i had ever heard or owned.
My setup was cheap, a Power Acoustik Apache 2200W (1200 rms) amp, NO cap, STOCK head unit and stock factory speakers in a '97 Monte Carlo Z34. Now get this! With this sorry setup and that sub, my car placed third in a db drag race in the 1-15, 2-12s, or 4-10s class, AND i was the only one in the whole competition that did so with a TRUNK. I did 143 db BEFORE even hitting the sweet spot on my 0-200 Hz sweep in the 30 sec time limit of the contest using a bass mekanics CD. The dude that beat me had two Kicker L7 squares in a extended cab silverado w/ the same wattage. I cannot complain. This thing is mean!
