Summary: It's a 2004 Dodge neon sxt 5-speed. It's the 5-speed which makes it a blast to drive. So far i'm very impressed with this car. It's got a great sound system and cd player already. It's all about to be upgraded though ;) So far Ive put a cold air intake and a cat back on it and it really brought the car to life. It's got awesome acceleration and gas mileage. All in all a 9/10 cuz it's not the srt-4!
Strengths: FUN FACTOR! Acceleration, handling, sound system.
Weaknesses: Gas mileage less than perfect when driven hard.

Summary: This is the second Neon I owned. The 1st was a 95, i had a lot of problems with this car with everything from brake lines to rear main seal and head gasket, finnally the transmission went. But I liked the car, so I test drove a 2004 neon, and bought, and i have put 5500 miles on this car in just under 4 months, with out a single problem, air conditioner blasting the whole time. I love my car.
Strengths: Looks, sound system, after market parts
Weaknesses: I'd like a little more juice from the engine.

Year / Model Reviewed: 2004 SXT
Summary: With the neon you should really know what you're buying before you go in. Especially with the low line SXT. It's not a race car, it's not a van, it's not a truck, it's basic, economical, inexpensive transportation. I've put 41,000 miles on mine and have had no problems. It needs a brake job, but that's not bad with the mileage I've put on it, and I'll be happy to have it done. It's not fast, it's not roomy, but it is safe for its size. An expidition t-boned me on the driver door, and I had a sore neck and that's it. My daughter was in the opposite back seat in a safety seat, and was completely unhurt. Worth the money if you just want a basic car, but know what you're buying.
Weaknesses: Not fast or fun, but it was never designed to be.

Summary: I love my car! I bought it new and now have 50,000 miles on it. I've never had anything wrong with it. I would recommend this car to anyone! It's cute and very reliable.
Strengths: Good on gas, small on the outside but very roomy on the inside.
Weaknesses: I haven't found any!

Summary: Bought this car new 4 years ago as my first car. I have like it pretty much and have put over 75000 ml. on it. Have had a few problems with it, had the transmission replace at just over 60000 ml. under warranty, the trunk lack can stick at times, the fog light pull on switch is starting to get lose (which mades then flick on/off in the off postition when using the turn signals), the console between seats the lids latch has broke and radio had recently started to go out for a second from time to time. Except for the transmission nothing that had been major.
I find it to be room and I have been amazed at what I can load into it if I have to. I have always found it comfortable to driver, even on the times I have driven 6-8 hours. Never had trouble with control on bad winter road conditions. A problem I have noticed is when this car hits a puddle the water is much of the time thrown at the windsheild which can make it hard to see for a few seconds, can'y really a problem if it is getting cold and the things are starting to freeze, happen to me twice and the water frooze on the windsheild I had to stop until it melted. Had the original brakes replace several month back at 70000 ml. It seems to be running fine still.
Strengths: -roomy
-good gas milage
-comfortable
-nice rear sit room
Weaknesses: -had some transmission problems
-some interior parts a bit flimsy and seem easy to brake
-on really hot days the AC with not keep car all that cool, is better then windows down but not by much
-trunk upholstery is slippery make everything slide around with every move (I bought a cheap mat to help with this)
