Strengths: Great SUV, a lot of room, a lot of power, good price.
Weaknesses: Gas milleage
Summary: I change my Jeep Liberty 2004 for this SUV. I look for more room, smooth ride and power to travel everywhere. I use to go once a year from Mexico City to San Antonio TX with all my family and wanted a SUV with enough space. I feel great, the car has a lot of space and the ride is very smooth i think i did a great deal, just vlook at bthe chevy tahoe price or the ford explorer.

Strengths: Great power and features for the money.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: I purchased this vehicle new to tow my travel trailer. This vehicle is perfect for this purpose. With the HEMI engine it has plenty of torgue and horse power. I have also traveled cross country without the trailer and it still gets pretty good milage with the variable displacement engine. I would highly recommend this vehicle.

Summary: What a piece of work this vehicle is! Purchased used with 29000KMs, it has been in the shop so many times that I have lost count. The radio has been replaced, there was a recall on something to do with the air conditioner, the dash had to come out for that one. The brake light fuse and relay keep popping, so you cant shift it out of park. You have to open the hood, change the fuse, pull out the relay and put it back, all this while the vehicle is running, and 2 out of 3 times it will work. Then it starts all over again when you turn the engine off. Sometimes it is okay for a month, sometimes for 1 day. The dealer has replaced fuses, bulbs, rewired from power module to the rear, and lots more.It has been in the shop 5 times for this one, and it still is not working. The dealer gave me a hand full of fuses and relays and sent me on my way. The service department has been very accomadating, how ever it would be nice to get it fixed once and for all. The salesman (Sean) wants nothing to do with the problem and is very UNsympathetic about the problem Right now I am using the vehicle as a storage unit while I try to fight with Chrysler about it.My daughter refuses to drive it, my wife refuses to drive in it, and I cant stand it anymore either. Would I purchase another Chrysler product? NEVER

Strengths: *Seating for 8
*Superioir look and quality
*3 Year 50K mile warranty
*Very smooth ride
*Easy shifting
*Excellent acceleration
*Great braking system
Weaknesses: *Fuel economy
Summary: This is by far the largest, and smoothest vehicle I have ever owned. I used to have a Chevrolet Avalanche and this is by far the better vehicle in my book. The new Durango offers more room and a more smooth ride while keeping the look of today's luxury vehicles. The 4.7 V-8 offers excellent shifting that is undetecable while driving, and the easy shifting allows for virtually no interior noise while driving. The stereo in this vehicle absolutely amazing offering beautiful sound with the individual settings that allows the driver to control the bass, treble, and the mids. The wood grain dash (Available in the SLT Model) is another feature that adds to the stylish look of this SUV. The wood that is used is a natural wood that is not composed of plastic, its actual wood with a laminate finish. The dual climate features with rear air control allows for everyone in the vehicle to be comfortable while driving, even in the worst weather conditions. Moving back to the rear seats, the amount of room that is offered to the passengers is absolutely amazing. The seats in the rear offer enough room for a large sized adult, while still offering comfort throughout the entire ride. The third row seats (Also available in the SLT model) is another feature that makes this SUV stunning. There is enough room in here as a full size SUV such as a Surburban, yet the vehicle still maintains the compact look like similar SUV's on the market. The fuel economy in this vehcile is one of the major drawbacks averaging 14MPG in the city and 19MPG on the highway. Normally before going to purchase a vehicle that has a V8, you shoudl expect the fuel economy to be a drawback. I can't offer an opinion on the 4.7 Vs. the 5.7 Hemi although I know that the Hemi is well worth the added price if you need the towing strength, and additional tourqe. In my case I only needed a vehcile that was reliable, yet offered the power and room for my family. Overall this vehicle is a must have and the features of this American made SUV is beyond overwhelming and in my opinion is worth every cent.

Strengths: Have not found one yet. Grand kids like the DVD player, but don't they all have that?
Weaknesses: Transmission. Service. Reliability. Cost. Gas mileage.
Summary: Owned 06 dodge darango for 3 months, took one trip up north with 1000 miles on it and the check engine light came on and the transmission stopped working (went into limp mode). Middle of June and the air conditioner went out, both problems persisted for 800 miles over two days. Took it to dealer when we got home, and they see the storred failure, but the check engine light had extinguished before they saw it. They can't find any problem and they think that some sensor was stuck or overheated. I have to take another trip and can't trust this 36,000 dollar vehicle out of my driveway. If nowbody is experiecing any transmission problems, than mine must be bad, but that would be too easy for them, they would like to put me 1000 miles away again to make sure. Customer service stinks. Dodge Darango stinks. During the few highway miles that it did work it was getting far less than reported mileage on flat interstate.
