Price Paid:  $33500.00 from Lithina Dodge

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 2500 QC 4x4 Cummins 6.7L

Summary:
24000 miles and nothing...nothing has gone wrong. The truck is capable of 14mpg in town and 18.5 to 20.7 mpg hand calculated highway. And it is a 3/4 ton so I dont have to worry when I haul the slide-in camper. First truck I have ever owned that has not had anything but oil changes in the first two years. Solid truck. The ride isnt bad although it can be a little bouncy on very rough roads. But then again, it is a truck and not a car. I expect the Cummins will go for several hundred thousand miles. Dont try that with a gas motor. Even though diesel is a bit more expensive I can run biodiesel with no downsides and the truck mileage is pretty efficient vs gas trucks I have owned...even 1/2 tons. The exhaust brake in the mountains means my brakes are lasting an unbelievably long time.

Strengths:
Cummins diesel
truck is built well

Weaknesses:
interior is a little plain and the seats arent as comfortable as my old Chevy. But the diesel and truck are far better.

Similar Products Used:
chevy
nissan

Price Paid:  $23195.00 from Kings Dodge/Mason OH

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Rumble Bee

Summary:
I bought my Rumble Bee in August 2005 and it has been a GREAT truck. Looks awesome, very few quality issues to speak of, and responds very well to cosmetic/performance modifications. Truck hauls tail with HEMI V8 combined with AeroTurbine exhaust, K&N and Superchips Flashpaq tuner.

Strengths:
Huge Power and Torque for a pickup - surprises people!, lots of interior room, auto-dimming mirror nice, sporty white-faced gauges, looks great with ground effects/billet grille/fog lights, 20" wheels are a nice feature

Weaknesses:
Stereo doesn't sound that great for being an Infinity system, Steering wheel leather started peeling at 23000 miles and was replaced under warranty, wish it had better seating surfaces, dash looks kinda plain, even with yellow center stack. All in all, not too much to complain about

1996 Ford Explorer XLT (slow but reliable), 1st time with a pickup

Review 4 of 416

Price Paid:  $35000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Ram 2500 4x4 cummins HO

Summary:
Problems, problems, problems. The truck is a lemon. Been in the shop 6 times. Fuel rails twice, blown motor once, trans problems once, leaking axle seals once, injectors went bad once. The truck and dodge employees have been a nightmare. The truck payment is 469 a month, plus an extra 100-200 per mo to take it in and get it fixed. I could have bought alot nicer truck for that!

Strengths:
It does pull my trailer much better than the ford and chevy did. Also gets good gas milage.

Weaknesses:
Everything else.

Similar Products Used:
Ford F250 (powerstroke)
Chevy 2500 (diesel)

Price Paid:  $28000.00 from Tom Edwards Dodge

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Ram 1500 SLT Reg Cab

Summary:
AWESOME!!! The ride, styling, and power of this truck is just awesome. People diffently see you comming down the road, and know to get out of the way.

Strengths:
The power of the Hemi motor. This engione is quite powerful just stock. The versatility of the interior is good. A good truck to put a bass system in. I cranked 133 db in a reg cab truck!!!! Extremly light weight, which is good for the weight to power ratio. In the 1/8 mile stock I ran a 9.9 consistently. The potential power that can be released in this motor is what makes it really attractive. If you know the right people or know the right stuff you can blow the competition away. With the right combination of components and parts and you will have boss machine.

Weaknesses:
I quetion the necessity of the electronic throttle control and some of the other limitors on the motor. But if you have the patience to wait for the parts to become available, it will be worth it.

Similar Products Used:
Nothing else in the truck market can compare to this truck!!! The HEMI motor is the lost powerful gas motor available, without going to a V10, both Ford and GM can't match this power. Nissan boasts more horsepower, but they lack sorely in the torque to even move the wheels or come close to the quicknes of the Dodge. Nissan's Titan is also not a true full size truck it is in the middle not small enough to be a mid size but not big enough to really be considered a full size. Toyota and Honda are a joke among the truck community.
