from Just Tires Year / Model Reviewed: 2002 Dunlop Mud Rovers Strengths: Quiet on the road Weaknesses: Soft side wall, soft tread, not pucture resistant, wear quickly, not a very effective off road tire Summary: Dunlop Mud Rovers:
I have a 97 wrangler- I use it as it should be used and expect a tire to hold up to what I need it to do- the Dunlop Mud Rovers were a disapointment from the very first time out - with numerous side wall and tread punctures and a flat on every single trip out I can say that if you are into any type of off road driving these will not do! I had 4 replaced due to unrepairable sidewall damage and at least 4 plugs in each tire from small sticks and twigs. I tossed the tires and purchased BF Goodrich Mud tires, 35's, and have put them through much more than the dunlops ever saw and have had not one problem with them. I do not recommend Dunlops and anyone who does I'd guess is not a hard core off road user. For the street they may be a nice tire but if you wheel - Pass these up.
I only rate them a two because I put tires through some very tough trails and I need something I can depend on- For a on road car that may see some light off road- fire road type stuff, it may be ok. Similar Products Used: BF Goodrich, Goodyear MTR's
