Summary:
This head unit came with the car when i bought it. I have this headunit(5441i) running to an Eclipse amp with 50x4 RMS. I have the amp running 6.25 Alpine Type-s in front and 6x9 Alpine Type-s in back. OMG. This set up kills every thing. At least for the price. I mean the alpine sounds good. the sound guality to straight forward no missen around. it sounds great. well i have tons of bass pumping to my back speakers. No Sub. Need to get one so i don't blow the speakers. any ideas on good subs at good prices give me an email at www.ajgroj@yahoo.com. I can not say this enough that the sound in my car is awesome. Before i put the amp on the headunit the sound quality was the same. i am the type that likes bass. so the headunit was not giving me enough power. so i amped the speakers. i have been very impressed with this headunit. if you own one. keep it. and if u like bass either amp your speakers or get a sub or just do both.

Strengths:
did not have to pay anything for it. get sound qualities. looks good.

Weaknesses:
do really have anything to say.

Summary:
Eclipse - need I say more? Okay I will..... We are talking about a CLEAN QUALITY head unit here. Middle of the road for Eclipse but high end when compared to most others. I run my Polks in the rear and Clarions in the front straight from this deck - no way I am giving up that quality sound - and do not let the watt rating full you - this 13 watt x 4 unit is louder than my old sony 35 watt x 4 and louder than my brothers panisonic 45 watt x 4. No distortion...... if you hear any - it's your speaker pal. The differance is in the quality of the amp. 3 Pairs of RCA Pre-Amp Outputs at 2.7v - one being a true sub out with controls.

Strengths:
Great Head unit with clean power and clean looks - I love Eclipse head units, this is my second one. Best unit you can buy till you get into the 400.00 and up range and even then Eclipse has top of the line units - just check out the web-site - even reviews here for the 5441 - next model up best unit under 500.00 imho

Weaknesses:
None - for what your buying -a quality under 400.00 head unit. The one I am speaking of is the 54410 - not the 5441 which has 5v outs and some other features....very nice - couple hundred bucks more though - out of my price range

Summary:
When will Eclipse change to a head unit that is Detachable? I''ve had one attempt at someone who TRIED to steal it(ruined and had to be fixed) and the second time, they got it out. Since BA$TARD thieves just look for a deck that has the face on, they will break in. Their theft protection sucks as well! Why only cover it for one year?? Who knows.

Strengths:
Besides the fact that I''m just bitter about having my stuff stolen, Eclipse products are the best on the market!!

why don''t they just make a detachable face?

Summary:
This is a very good head unit, 5 volts says it all. I was completly satisfied with this product until the cd player part of it broke and it wouldn''t play a cd. This is when I found out how much their warranty department REALLY stinks. ********I also bought 2 brand new 88150 aluminums 15" subs, and one had a small air leak in the sub right by the rubber that I had to send back that sub and it took ALMOST 2 MONTHS... I''ve sent many other products back to many other companies and this was some of the longest if not the longest delta time!!!!!!!******** Overall I am satisfied with their products performance, I just don''t understand whats up with their warranty department

Strengths:
5 Volt Pre-ampt output, Motorized face, cd-text, ESN, Good looking display(hard to read in the sunlight)

Weaknesses:
I used this deck fine for about 6 months and then it wouldn''t play a CD... it took 2 MONTHS to get back from Eclipse ;( so I would have to say their warranty service SUCKS.

Summary:
i had never heard of fujitsu ten before my trip down to penguins,because my clarion had seized-up. they said it would take about $150 to fix it,because the warranty had run out. overall, i am pleased so far. the eclipse sounds better than the clarion and is easier to manipulate. i did feel like i might have paid a little much for it,suggested retail and installation, but i guess thats my problem with the place where i bought it. if i have any problems with it, i have got someplace to go though. the model i have looks different from the model shown on the header of this page. i beleive fujitsu must have redesigned the 5441. it looks better than the receiver on the header. i have been looking for info. on this product and havent found much. i havent noticed the cd''s getting hot or any skipping and clipping. my clarion produced boyh of these and it would eventually cut-off when it got too hot and only the radio would work.i am not going to say that it is the best receiver i ever had because i am not qualified, but i am pleased with it so far. only time will tell.

Strengths:
quality sound, easy to adjust,nice remote(small and flat), anti-theft system, 3 yr. warranty, dont sell to the wal-marts of car-audio,the option to put on the commander,the salesperson at penguins is what i would consider a friend and said they were the best stuff he had and they have it all
