Summary:
Sooo nice! I got these pretty ladies last year and they have never once failed to impress me. These speakers are so perfect, you are no longer listening to the speakers. You are listening to the amp that's powering them. They will play every note your amp trys to push so make sure you buy a nice amp. The tweeter is adjustable so you can turn it down if your amp slurs "S's" or other sounds. The 4"er is my fav! Every artist is right there in front of you. So, close your eyes and reach out and touch they're hand. It is also very thin so you can mount it anywhere but it plays down to 250 htz so seal it or dampen it well. The 6.5 is so rich, it sounds like it is bi-amped. It seperates the bassist in a rock group from the drummer in the best way possible. It does this easily because it doesn't have to worry about any freq. above 250 htz. Focal say's "use a sealed box" but forget that. In this three way the 4 sealed is perfect for detail but port the 6, it sounds really deep and still so clear. Do not put the 6 in a door unless the door is dampend to perfection. I power mine with a handmade Italian Audison LRX 2.250. Buy at least a LRX to power these, your wasting your money if you buy anything else. With an Audison amp you will feel like you do't need a 30 band EQ, cause like I said, you will only hear your amp and Audison=Perfection.

Focal's polyglass line is the best buy out of any company. It beats any MB or Boston if you power it right. If you don't have $800 or the room for 6.5's in the front then try just the neo 4 with component tweeter and mount them high in the dash and cut them off high so you can play them loud. Then get a couple sealed 10's with a AB class amp, just be sure to let them play some higher freqs.

Summary:
Listened to everything on soundboards (had to start somewhere). Heard the Diamond S600s HEXs in a truck like mine and they sounded great. Heard them in a Blazer and they sounded lousy. Then I heard Boston Pro 3-ways on a board, and they didn't sound as good sq-wise, but they sounded really open and airy, which I really liked (I guess because they were 3-ways).
I liked the sound of the Focals 2nd to the Diamonds when I heard them on a board, so I figured they would sound open and airy like the Bostons but with better sq, at a much better price for 3-ways than the Diamond 2-ways (does this make any sense?). Whole system (IDQ-10, Eclipse 32430, Nak 45z) sounds pretty good, just weak at mid-lows. They are pretty tight. Shoulda bought the Diamonds.
