Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $425.00 from Local

Year / Model Reviewed:
1987 Honda Accord

Summary:
Thes are excellent speakers. The SQ is great. I recently sold my car and let them go with it because I am one of those people who is only happy with something for a while before I want to upgrade, but in this instance I have decided that Focal is the only way for me when it comes to mids and highs. They are truly amazing.

Strengths:
Amazing SQ. I also like the fact that that the crossover is not the sive of a small pizza box like some others.

Weaknesses:
none

Similar Products Used:
Eclipse, Alpine

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2003 136kn Focal

Summary:
I believe that this is one of the best products around 300$. I nistalled in my front side car and work with a PPI 75w x2. Very nice sound, very clear, day by day the sound improve. i am very happy about my choise.

Strengths:
wonderful high frequency, they work fine also with low power but if you give more power no problem, work perfect.

Weaknesses:
Not easy find the components, I could not be able to provide a owner manual.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $445.00 from custom sounds - aust

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Summary:
The second I got in my car, it was a world of difference. I have a 1998 isuzu rodeo, and had already added a 12" polk db sub, kenwood mp3 cd player, kicker resolution 4" rears, and the subs amp is a 250 rockford fosgate. Anyways, even with using the kenwood cd player amp, it sounds incredible!! In my old ford ranger I had added kicker impulse 5x7 components, but these are way better than those! I paid 445 total to have them installed, they made a big difference, so clear, so different, hard to explain. It definitely sounds better than those cheap stock speakers though, or the kickers I had in my truck. I highly reccommend them, after one day of listening I know I got my moneys worth. The question now is whether or not they need their own amp???? I will update if I add one.

Strengths:
very clear, polykevlar baby!, much better than stock(if that is hard to do)

Weaknesses:
pricey, but if you have the cash, get them!

Similar Products Used:
kicker components( they are good for being less expensive)

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $320.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 98 Tacoma

Summary:
Very clean speaker that doesn't need much power. I have a PPI 50x2 to power them and it is plenty. The first thing I noticed was the highs - they are very bright! But I would recommend these speakers to anyone looking for clarity and pure sound reproduction. I think they still need some time to break in. I was also very impressed with the build quality of the speaker. Definitely one of the best sounding speakers you can buy for around $300.

Strengths:
clean and effecient

Weaknesses:
the highs seem a little bright but this may go away after they break in some

Similar Products Used:
Diamond Hex & Motorsport, Boston Pros - it is hard to say which is the best, but I would choose the focals
