Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $300.00 from Pep Boys

Summary:
These tires absoultely suck! I have a company car and Pep Boys installed a set of these tires on my car after calling my lease plan company. They authorized the installation.
I would not put these tries on a lawn tractor!! They are rough riding, slide in the rain and I dread winder driving as I am sure they will be very rough.

DO NOT PURCHASE THESE TIRES!!!

Strengths:
haven't found any yet

Weaknesses:
From composition to handling

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Dealer installed

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1999

Summary:
These tires were installed as a part of the deal when I purchased my used 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII. An alignment was done as well. I don't know what the dealer paid for the tires but he obviously wanted to spend the least amount possible to increase his profits. (Pep-Boys lists them for about $220/set) I have put 32,000 miles on the tires and really have no complaints in the handling department. I had a near-miss at about 50 mph when I had about 30,000 on the tires and they held on when another tire may have let go - so I can't bad-mouth them too much! I live in Northeast Texas and our weather conditions are very mild. I have had to drive in lots of sudden down-pours and for the first 10,000 miles hydroplaning was not a problem but became quite scary around 15,000. It's very noticeable when I have the cruise control set and hit standing water spots on the highway. We do have some icy conditions here in the winter but I haven't noticed any real problems with the tires - it's the heavy, powerful, rear-wheel drive Mark VIII that's the porblem in those conditions! The main problem I have with the tires is how much road noise is transmitted into the interior - it's extremely loud at all speeds. Also, I have always kept the proper air pressure and rotated at regular intervals but they did not make the 50,000 mile claim. They are completely worn out at 32,000 miles. But hey, for the price they are a good handling 30,000 performance tire.

Strengths:
Good handling in most weather conditions when relatively new.

Weaknesses:
Very noisey, quick wearing, hydroplanes

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $60.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1990

Summary:
If you live in an area that is not affected by snow, then this is a great tire......good value, excellent performance.....low tread noise....

Even though I dislike Goodyear Tires, the Aquatred, GT II, and GT+4 offer much better traction in the snow.....I'm surprised too, because other "regular" / non performance Futura tires perform flawlessly in the snow.......and this performance tire is supposedly a "4 seasons" tire....

Strengths:
Great grip in dry conditions; better than average grip in the rain....pretty good value for the money......offer good handling characteristics (turn in, etc)......low tread noise......

Weaknesses:
VERY POOR GRIP IN THE SNOW.....THE WORST THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!
