Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1992 Civic

Summary:
Had these tires over a year now so my review should be quite solid and unbiased. Mine was 195/50R15, special size found in SE Asia. Never thought the problem of weak sidewalls found its way over here. I parked my car, got out and heard this loud hissing sound at my rear right tyre. I quickly hopped back in and made my way to the service station at a safe 15mph. When the tyre was removed, I was shocked to discover a fracture in the inner wall side of the tyre, the fracture was about half an inch found between the side wall and the tread area. Luckily I wasn't travelling fast on the highway and this defect is found in the rear tyre. It could have cost me dear. I only travelled less than 6000 miles on these tyres!! Had them regularly inflated to 210psi. I bought a new pair of tyres put them to the front and the risky Eagle GS-Ds to the rear in case an unexpected blow out occurs. The rear left tyre with deep treads will be used as a spare only for very very short trips to the service station. The fractured tyre was placed in the used tyre rack with the most tread left. Goodyear better recall or re-design the GS-Ds or you could be facing costly legal suits all over.

Strengths:
Fairly good dry grip.

Weaknesses:
When making a quick take-off. Tires slippage on wet tarmac. Fairly poor grip in wet situations.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $35000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Lexus IS300 2001

Summary:
These tires are crap, ive had it with goodyear and there lousy customer service. There is a defect with these tires and im finding many other people in my shoes being told by goodyear that nothing is wrong with these tires. Ive had 3 pop on me through the sidewall and i only have 13000 miles on my lexus. These are new tires and they have horible ratings and i cant believe lexus is putting these on there cars. check out the ratings at http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/uhp/.jsp they got the second worst rating. As far as i know the IS300 is the only car using these tires. The cars only been out like 8 months and im finding so many complaints with them already..... so go figure ive had it ....

Strengths:
none crap goodyear should be ashamed

Weaknesses:
all, suck in snow rain, and sidewalls are weak as hell

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $35000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001/ Lexus IS 300

Summary:
The worts tires in the world. I have to replace 3 with only 8000 miles on the car.

Strengths:
These tires are horrible. Even with traction control, and a snow button which cuts power from the engine, it still spins like crazy, in snow, rain, etc... When you finally start to move in the snow, good luck stopping. These tires do not grip to anything. The worst part about these tires is the fact that evertime you pass over a larger than average divot, bump, etc... that is it for your tire. The sidewall blows out with even the smallest impact. i would not recommend these tires to anyone who minds spending $200 every month per tire.

Weaknesses:
Read the strength section, I decided to complain there.
