Price Paid:  $399.00 from Internet

Year / Model Reviewed:
1991 Capri convertible

Summary:
The product is wellmade I havent had any real problems with it other than the fact that the springs that came stock were too short and the rate was way too soft. Also there was no provision for coil leingth take up when they were not adjusted to full height. I ended up buying new coils to fit properly in a rate that was compatable for my application. I also had to buy Eibach HELPER 250 and SPACER 250 for each corner to deal with the take up problem. It seems that these are made primarily for the ricer slam it to the ground crowd. I bought them to enable me to adjust corner weights and increase the spring rate.

Strengths:
Solid well engineered product except rate and leingth.

Weaknesses:
Cost, no helper spring and spacer, spring leingth and rates blew.

Price Paid:  $329.00 from Ground Control

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Civic Ex Coupe

Summary:
This is the second set of GC coilovers I have had . My first set was on a 99 Civic Si . I think that these coilovers work perfect for many conditions . I use them mostly to drop it in the summer and raise it to close to stock height in the winter . I have read some reviews that say they squeak or rub ? I have never experienced any squeaking or rubbing on either car ? I would recommend buying a camber kit though . Once you go lower than about 2" my rear wheels start tilting in pretty bad .

Strengths:
Good ride
Easy to adjust

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
None . Wouldn't try anything else .

Review 3 of 28

Price Paid:  $300.00 from www.groupbuycenter.c

Year / Model Reviewed:
1996 honda civic lx sedan

Summary:
A++ coilover sleeves. I rode on 16" wheels with 215/40/16 tires and the stock set of wheels and tires, and have them paired with KYB GR2 struts. I ride on all types of roads. Normal highway, pothole infested highway, normal streets, pothole infested streets, and my friends gravel driveway. These coilovers give me a close to stock smooth ride and a great look. The handleing is perfect for me, but I can't really compare that to anything. I believe my tires suck and hold back the full capabilities of my suspension. If you are concerned about a smooth ride like I was, this setup on my car couldn't ride better.

Strengths:
Everything they claim to be. Smooth ride great handleing and a nice look.

Weaknesses:
Nothing.

Price Paid:  $280.00 from hpautoworks i believ

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Honda Accord Sedan

Summary:
hmm first of all, these are great coilovers. they don't bounce that much. i am using them with Tokico Illuminas. i set them to 5 at first and it turns similar to 3. maybe i'm not going fast enough. anyways, they are a little bit pricy and i don't think they are worth it. IF you BUY these COILS, Please DO yourself a favor and buy CAMBER KIT for front and back if you plan on dropping your ride alot. i had to raise my car due to the threaded body(the red thing that the perches adjust on) has been scraping against the SPRING!!!!! it has pretty much shreaded some of the threads :(. At first it was the back only, but now it is the front too. I'm sure it has something to do with the camber because only 1 side of the threaded body gets affected.

Strengths:
-Great Control -Nice look -No bouncing like ghetto peeps -Adjustability if your threaded body is screwed like mines.(mine is permanently lowered....i can't go back up)

Weaknesses:
-Threaded body gets eaten by the spring. -fairly expensive -Need camber kit or it will damage the threaded body therefore damaging the product.

Similar Products Used:
none. first and last....OH YEAH BUY A CAMBER KIT!!!!!

Price Paid:  $310.00 from importhorizon.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
1993 Honda Prelude Si

Summary:
This to my opinion is a great product. Ive had them on for awhile and i think there great. There adjustability is great. up to 3 inches i believe. I have my car all dropped low. Not to low though, but i do rub on the fender when the steering wheel is turned all the way. The ride is not bad. Ive seen worse!! Believe me. Better then cut springs. Directions werent the best. THis was a self install, took about 5 hours. Remember, ive never done this before, and i did a pretty good job. Overall, a good buy

Strengths:
Great look Great drop Good ride good price range and attention getter

Weaknesses:
Can be a little weird or some sounds might coem our

Similar Products Used:
Skunk2 coilovers
