Review 1 of 14

Price Paid:  $330.00 from mmxpress

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 id max 12D4

Summary:
I had originally bought 2 15" L7s but discovered that the box would take up my entire trunk. So i got 2 idmax 12s and just put them in a sealed box just to brake them in. After the break in period i builted a ported box for them. The box is about 5.10 sq ft with two 4 inch aeroports for the box. It is tunned @ 30 hz. They are both running of a hifonics brutus bx1500 amp. This amp is supposed to give them 750 watts each and i believe thats plenty they shake like crazy and my seat in the car doesnt even fold down. The bass goes very low and it hurts my ears. Very loud subs i would highly recomend them.

Strengths:
Geniously built, goes very low and loud

Weaknesses:
None so far

Similar Products Used:
Kicker, JL, Kenwood, Pioneer, Audiobhan, Soundstream

Review 4 of 14

Price Paid:  $100.00 from ebay used

Year / Model Reviewed:
03 ID Max V.3 D4

Summary:
Great sub, goes low, they are as good as people say. Remember that this is an efficient sub 93db I think, so that 1000 watts rms is not accurate, a 500 wrms amp could make this thing pop, but that is normal in my opinion, I have no idea how those companies rate their subs. My PPI PC 2150 will rock any sub that has twice the recommended power rating so I wouldnt recomend what the manufacturer says.

Strengths:
Good response at most all freqs. Goes low as it should, only sealed box on this one.

Weaknesses:
9 inch mounting depth, nothing really

Similar Products Used:
everything, but the best or all are a/d/s rs series, seriously they are the best subs ever.
