Price Paid:
$160.00
from Crutchfield Year / Model Reviewed: 2001 KRC-409 Strengths: Dolby B, freq range to 18kHz; bright, simple display, CD changer capability. Removable faceplate. Removal of deck easy with tools provided to access CD changer 13pin port. Weaknesses: No volume knob... really most decks do not have knob... pushing vol button difficult while driving especially in traffic, but then this true for almost every deck.
Note: CD changer requires "O-N" switch for text display, magazine random play, etc... Kenwood provides very little info on which deck has what, so some research needed. Summary: Beautiful deck. Visually elegant, very different that the gaudy decks out there. Major improvement over factory deck in sound quality. Similar Products Used: 1988 Alpine deck
