Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $60.00 from cartronics

Summary:
I am not one for useless numbers and audio jargon. I bought this subwoofer for its simplicity, aesthetic appeal, and price. Of course I would be unaware of its sound quality before purchase, as would most other people; however, I have no regrets. It sounds great while listening to music at realistic levels.

Strengths:
Looks great and sounds clean.

Weaknesses:
Distortion at high volume levels, but, of course, this is to be expected from such an inexpensive sub. Surround will indefinitely deteriorate at some point, although i could buy a new one each year easily. Also, Sony Xplods, a similar model with higher specs, can be found for relative prices.

Price Paid:  $40.00 from Cash converters and

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1990''s some time

Summary:
These subs are only suitable for ported with a 35 liter cabinet or bandpass, these are absolutely terrible for any thing else. Other enclosures such as Sealed, or diploe, or infinate baffel

Strengths:
they''re alright if you like good looking crap

Weaknesses:
Many, they are very slow sounding woofers (high step rate and group delay) they''re very high FS of 38 Hertz makes them unusable for almost every application other then Spl, such as a bandpass box, which would make them sound even worse. They have little excursion which makes them Unusable for sealed cabinites

Similar Products Used:
rockfords bottom of the barrell subs, shaker, pyramid, jensen ( which is better by far actually)

Review 5 of 6

Price Paid:  $120.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000 Kenwood medium enclosure 10's

Summary:
These subs kick ass. For the price they can't hardly be beat. They only require 130 watts rms, so they save money on the amp. I have a Profile Jam series 400.4 pushing them. They get around 150 watts apiece. The amp runs cool, the subs slam, and I am a happy consumer. Buy them from Crutchfield or Circuit City when they are buy one get one free. Whether u just want good bass or want a fairly loud system, these subs satisfy.

Strengths:
Great frequency range with clear, accurate bass. High spl with lower need of power.

Weaknesses:
The surround could be a better than foam.

Similar Products Used:
These subs will give Thunder 4000's a run for their money. For nearly 100 watts less in rms they beat thunder 4000 10's.
