Price Paid:  $2.00 from From friend

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Kenwood Execlon db 12in

Summary:
I bought these subs along with a Kenwood Execlon 401-M amp for only $350, he was seriously in need for money. I didnt really know what to expect from these subs but once I installed them in my 93 ford bronco and adjusted the amp I was more then impresseed. The sub has a 1000 watt peak power rating, The sub preforms Very well with various boxes but it is best in a sealed box

Strengths:
Great price, Tight pounding bass.

Weaknesses:
The sub has a Mid sized magnet,It's big but not as big as it could be.

Review 2 of 14

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Ultimate Electronics

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 Dodge Ram 1500 single cab

Summary:
Had bought some 10 subs and decided to go return them and buy the 12" version of that sub but when i was waiting at the counter, i heard the xw1225DBs in a display and omg they sounded sooo bad a** i just had to get those instead. so i put them in with a kenwood 401 mono block @1 ohm and they pound so hard that after a while it hurts my back (woofers are located behind the seat back and aimed forward against it).

Strengths:
extremely powerful clear bass and is sensitve enough to produce bass at the lowest volumes.

Weaknesses:
(only a weakness if you dont like pretty tight bass) Bass can get kinda tight with high amplifier power levels.

Review 5 of 14

Price Paid:  $220.00

Summary:
I started off with only one, a 12", and I put it in a sealed 1.25cft box stuffed with polyfill. After I got my amp input level and my receiver tweaked properly for the sub, it kicked mad behind. The single 12" hit louder than 2 decent 10's one of friends had. After about 2 months, I got another 12", and they sounded great. You could feel the bass standing outside of the car. This posed some vibration problems, but I fixed everything up with foam and padding.

I'd recommend these to people driving SUV's or trucks. You don't want to have a unstable body, trunk, etc. because they WILL rattle. Also, I've found that they sound better in larger areas, like cargo spaces.

Strengths:
- Efficient with bass. You don't need to crank it up to hear these subs. I actually set the bass on my receiver all the way down, and they still pound.
- They're also really clean when you have them in the right box, no sloppy bass.
- They handle their frequency range really well. Some subs reproduce low frequencies, but at a lower volume level. These reproduce low and high bass equally.
- They look cool too.

Weaknesses:
They rumble a little bit at really low frequencies. That's really all I can think of.
