from Norton's Year / Model Reviewed: 2002 Kicker KX400.2 Strengths: Everything. Runs cool and hard. Weaknesses: I wish you could drop it down to 2 ohm mono like the old ZRs. But those didn't have near the features so... Oh and lately my lights have been dimming at idle. That's new though so I think its my battery or alternator. Summary: Well this is a great amp no matter what anyone says. I've been into audio for a good long while now - mostly home audio until now - but earlier this year I bought this amp and 2 CompVR 12s. In my SUV, it shakes everything including myself. I can have the gain all the way up and the bass boost at 12dB and the volume over half on my headunit and its distortion free... although I'm my ears are going to start distorting. This amp never gets hot. It never even gets warm and I've got it way in the back where there is never any AC. And for the price I paid (from an authorized dealer), there is nothing better. (Except maybe for the Kicker XS50 I'm fixing to replace it with.) My birth sheet says 456 watts at 4 ohm mono which is a little low from what I hear but it's more than I was promised.
My advice: Go for it. Similar Products Used: None so far but I just bought a Kicker XS50 and y'all can hear from me soon on that.
