2001 Chevrolet Astro Summary:
I replaced 3 Optimus (Radio Shack) subwoofers because the surround kept splitting around the cone. With minor modifications, I installed (2) Kicker C8's in the dutch-doors of my Chevy Astro Van. They sound great on a 200 watt amp! These subwoofers have a nice deep sound as well as that tight, snappy bass that I like.
I like how Kicker gave me accurate cutting templates. I had to mount these subs in a piece of 3/4" particle board and then attach them to my dutch doors. They fit perfectly.
Although there are better deals online, I decided to may MSRP and support my local dealer. So far, these Kicker C8's are great and should last the life of my vehicle. Strengths:
Solid construction, 1 year warranty, great sound, more low end than J-Lo. Weaknesses:
Terminals should be closer together and should be screw-type instead of those flimsy spade connectors. Similar Products Used:
