Review 1 of 7

Price Paid:  $68.00 from Pawn America

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Thunder8302

Strengths:
Can tune it to your interior a bit via the 1 band eq. Clean output, no audible distortion. hi/low pass switches, rca outputs(with hi/low pass)to add another amp (i like that now I can upgrade if I want)

Weaknesses:
just the fet I had to resoldier. This amp cost me 68 bucks, I'm not gonna complain TOO much...

Summary:
I've very satisfied by my pawn shop purchase. I have it wired BRIDGED to a single MTX 6000 10" 4ohm woofer in a ported pyramid enclosure. It's JUST enough power! This thing has a lot of bang for the buck. The only problem I had initially was after I used it for about a week, one of the fets on the board came loose so the amp wouldn't turn on. I resoldiered it and it works great! The beauty of pawn shops. heh heh

Price Paid:  $175.00

Strengths:
looks, power

Weaknesses:
needs more heat sinks or built in fan to cool amp down

Summary:
i got this mtx hooked up to a s10L7 and i read a review that its too week. If your stuff is hooked up right this amp is powerfull. my cd player skips when i turn the volume over and i am only running a 8 guage wire to this rite now. This amp and a kicker solobaric is a great combination

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $90.00 from Future SHop

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Strengths:
Power. Cleaness. and the price i got it at. The rubber feet and the nice design.

Weaknesses:
Iv had the thermo protection kick in and had it shut off before but i dont think it is getting the airflow so i will fix that. the Cross over knob has no indication of the frequncy you are crossing over at. I used the crossover in my deck at 120Hz so that is no problem with my kenwood z919.

Summary:
I love this Amp. I got it for 114 bucks Canadain with 2 year f shop warrenty because Future Shop sold be a broken MTX RT2400(Open Box). Any how after alot of bjtching i got the 8302. I have it currently on a MTX 12'' 8000, 2002. And wow. My friends are jelous because of the price i got it for and the sound it reproduces. With A class topology it is built quite simple, but the SQ is absolutely amazing. Iv only had it running the sub bridged never run any mid range or tweets so i dont know how it sounds up there. I got 4 gauge running to it with all joints soldered. It is in a 1993 Passat turbo diesel with a 90 amp alternator and a two year old battery. I belive this amp could use a cap seeing as it makes my lights dim. Most cars run 40 amp alternators like hondas or chev caveliers, while some bigger cars or VWs run 90 amp alternators or above.

Review 4 of 7

Price Paid:  $250.00

Strengths:
Look unbelievable and there power is, well, AWESOME.

Summary:
After reading the above review i have to sit back and laugh. The amp was not powerful enough? Can simply tell you no nothing what your talking about, you either expected this thing to throw out 1000 watts or hooked it up completely wrong. All MTX amps rock, and always put out more power than they are rated at.
