Review 1 of 242

Price Paid:  $34600.00 from Go Nissan, Littleton

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 Nissan Pathfinder SE

Summary:
To date this has been a great vehicle! More bang for the buck than most other comparable SUVs, including the Toyota 4Runner.

Strengths:
Great Power (HP and Torque). Best standard features of all Midsized SUV's in the Price Range (28K - 39K).

Weaknesses:
Paint may be a bit to soft... Rear bumper/step already has whip marks on the interior vertical corners from automated car washes.

Similar Products Used:
None used, only researched/test driven: Toyota 4Runner, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Honda Pilot...

Price Paid:  $41000.00 from Central Avenue Nissa

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 Pathfinder V8

Summary:
This is the worse car I have ever owned. After having car only one week, I experienced jerking and popping noise. It was discovered the car was unsafe to drive as the transmission was no good. What makes matters worse, Nissan would not replace vehicle. I WILL NEVER BUY NISSAN AGAIN.

Weaknesses:
Transmission, no leg room

Review 5 of 242

Price Paid:  $29700.00 from Alta Nissan

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Nissan Patherfinder Chinook

Summary:
I bought the Chinook edition which is only avaliabe in Canada. The before tax price is CAN$29,700 and I think it is an excellent deal. It comes with sunroof, security, running board, roofrack, full size spare, power window, security and of course 3.5L V6 4WD. The only thing I wanted is leather seat but no availabe in the Chinook and the LE is just too expensive for me. I traded in my Acura 1.6 EL for the Pathfinder and I have no difficulty adjusting to this truck. Fun to drive, very good view of the road, powerful. The Bose radio is okay. Low gas milage is expected as I did many research before I decided to buy this car. This is my first Nissan and first SUV and I love it. Many people complain about the headroom and small padels and distance between the padels. I am 5 feet 11 and a half and I have no problem with head room. I am used to Japanese cars so I have no problem with the padels either.

Strengths:
Nice engine. Good driving position. Comes with toys like compass and outside temparture.

Weaknesses:
Poor owner's manual compare to Acura. Should come with towing hitch build in the bumper (which is in the 05 model and most other SUV at this price level) Rear brake is not disk.

Similar Products Used:
My father's X-trail which is okay. Too much plastic and overpriced.
