Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $220.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Strengths:
Hard to beat orion's quality and price. Have recommended xtreme amps to several people and installed several. Know one is ever disappointed, and with a three year warranty they are hard to beat.

Summary:
Ran this 500.4 in a 1997 Z28 and it ran the whole system 4 cerwin vega 6.5's and 2 JL Audio 10w0's. This amp worked effortlessly and sounded clean. Pushed this amp for hours at 3/4 volume (very loud) and it never even flinched. Now I use it in another vehicle pushing just two tens and it never lets me down.

Similar Products Used:
Have used many amps over the years. The only amps that compare are Rockford Fosgate (and they are a bit cleaner if you don't take them to the max) but they are definetly more expensive. Rumors are the

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $165.00

Strengths:
Watts are underrated. Ease of installation. Great looks, and great price.

Weaknesses:
Mounting brackets are annoying to put on!

Summary:
Orion makes a great product. The XTR 500.4 is durable, and long lasting amp. Orion makes their amps out of high-quality components. The amp has much more power than it's rated at. It puts out a very clean sound. I would buy another Orion product anytime. Great amp, for anyone into car audio.

Similar Products Used:
Sony XM-754Hx. That amp doesn't compare. The Orion sounds cleaner, and is also rated to have less watts but it definetely sounds like it has more!

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $165.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Strengths:
good power, price(last years model), IntelliQ

Weaknesses:
hard to install for beginners

Summary:
This amp is pretty good. It sounds similar to my old USAcoustics amp though. I guess i thought this amp would sound much better since they are underrated. But it pushes my Kappas and pioneers well. This thing still heats up quite a bit, but not as bad as my other sony amp. Man is this thing hard to install though. You have to screw in brackets and bolt it down to the car. The amp has no groove in it so you'll have to use a power screwdriver/drill to install it

Similar Products Used:
USAcoustics - very similar in sound, however harder to install
