Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $50.00 from Friend

Year / Model Reviewed:
1999 GM-X722

Strengths:
Crisp, clean, dependable, looks good.

Weaknesses:
Hard to find

Summary:
This is the best little amp ever! I have one hooker up to a TS-W307D4 with one voice coil to each channel so each has a 4 ohm load, this thing makes it do jumpimg jacks. Looking to get another to hook up to the same sub and mono power each voice coil at 4 ohms.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $350.00 from Video World TV & Ste

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 GM-X722

Strengths:
-Flexible power in 4 ohm stereo, 2 ohm stereo and 4 ohm bridged configurations. -Reliability

Weaknesses:
-Amplifier simply cannot achieve stablitiy at 2 ohms bridged mono. -Not exactly an ideal subwoofer amplifier

Summary:
When I first started out with car audio, I bought this amplifier to power a pair of 4 ohm subwoofers. At the time, both the dealer I bought it from and Pioneer Electronics itself claimed both channels were stable down to 1 ohm (2 ohms bridged mono) which should have been perefect for my setup. Unfortunately, this amplifier was never able to get the job done at this load in a bridged configuration. Weak low end response and outright protection/shutoff resulted. I was forced to reconfigure my system and power my front stage with the amplifier's superb 80 watts per channel at 4 ohms. It has excelled at this position for over four years now.

Review 5 of 5

Strengths:
Easy to install and clarity great for running tweeters and mids. love the crossovers

Weaknesses:
takes excessive amonut of battery power to run in 1 ohm load and power drops off. Not a really high-powered bass amp

Summary:
Pretty good amp just not for running the heavy stuff
