Review 3 of 5

Summary:
This is a really good unit and was a great deal from WalMart. $189 for the head and the CDX-P650 (6cd changer). This unit has so many of the necessary connections without the price. Because it has the IP-Bus connection I will be able to use it for satellite radio when that comes out this summer! I'm very happy with it. I wish it had a reciever for a remote and station scan (it has seek), but for what I paid, a lot of places would only sell me the changer, so I'm still way ahead.

Strengths:
Preouts, 1 year warrenty, Cd controller, and CD text

Weaknesses:
Buttons seems a little weak. Face can be stubborn to put on and take off.

Similar Products Used:
JVC - the 2800 is more powerful, but doesn't have the auto EQ

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $56.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 KEH-P2800

Summary:
In the three months that I have had this receiver I have enjoyed the strong power that it possesses and the quality of sound it puts out. I have heard other Pioneer receivers that have better cosmetic features with booming sound, but the P2800 competes with them in price and sound quality.

Strengths:
This is a great stereo that was purchased new on ebay for a real low price. I bought this stereo to replace my old Pioneer stereo (KEH-P3700) and I must say that this one really beats my old one out. The deck has a powerful 45 watts per channel power rating along with CD changer control. This receiver has great sound quality with no distortion in the output to the RCA's or to the speakers. This receiver may seem inexpensive, but I give it to the pioneer developers for making it as strong and well tuned as it really. I recommend this receiver to anyone who is looking for a replacement for a factory stereo or to someone who is searching for power in their speakers for a LOW price.

Weaknesses:
Buttons seem real bulky and it is sort of a struggle to remove the face. The tape feature does not have a MS (music search) feature thus you need to rewind tapes like we did in the 1980's.

Similar Products Used:
KEH-P3700- Beats this one out completely! Sound quality is much better, and power is much stronger. Although the 3700 has better tape features and cosmetic looks, the 2800 sounds much better.

Review 5 of 5

Summary:
Paid $180 at walmart for this head unit and the CDX-P650 6 disc cd changer!!!!!!!! Separately they are $121 (head unit) and $218 (cd changer) at Best Buy!!!!!!! Excellent product and great package deal!!!!

Strengths:
This product is high power with 40 x 4 output. It can control a cd-changer through the ip-bus and you can attach a remote control.

Weaknesses:
Doesnt have graphic equalizer settings, like pop and rock and country.
