Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $150.00

Summary:
I'm definitely sticking with Polk from now on. The engineering of these speakers is awesome, and that's not even taking into account the sound. Other little things like a cut out template is a nice bonus. I replaced my factory 6x9s and was shocked at the difference. I usually listen to precision stuff like rock, metal, and techno, and these speakers are great. These definitely are NOT for people looking for extra bass. This IS for someone looking for tight/exacting sounds.

Strengths:
Very nice highs and tight lows. Going for the 3 way speaker meant I didn't have to buy more speakers for the highs, which my wallet thanks me for. There's also a nice extra long wire for each speaker if you're hooking the speakers up to an amp or whatever.

Weaknesses:
Not really a weakness, but if you're looking for a lot of bass, don't get these.

Similar Products Used:
I have used Infinity Kappas before and strongly thought about getting them in the 6x9s, but after listening to a couple CDs and comparing them at a store, I knew Polk would be my choice. I was also impressed (again) with the little extras like long speaker wires, a template, etc. I got the Kappa 4'' components, and Inifinity gave one set of crimped wires, a set of wires that you had to solder to the speaker, and that was it, and they were short wires (about a foot long). I would have preffered the option to have overly long wires that I could cut and strip.

Review 2 of 3

Summary:
I paid $120 for the pair on Ebay.com.
I'd highly reccomend these for good fill speakers or stand alones.

Strengths:
These speakers can rock hard and are still detailed enough for acoustic jazz. I am driving them with an older Alpine(75w per ch)amp and a cheap Blaupunkt tape head unit in my mini-truck doors. Still these speakers kick some serious butt!

Weaknesses:
High end can be shrill and piercing. Probably my crappy head unit though.

Similar Products Used:
I listened to lots of 6x9's in the showrooms.
