Review 1 of 9

Price Paid:  $200.00 from etronics.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001/FNQ2615 FNQ2515

Summary:
When I bought these speakers I was rather unsure of what to expect. I knew I was buying a quality product seeing as it was from rockford and it was supposed to be rockford top of the line speakers. I hooked it up to my rf 200.4 amp that for some reason pushes 500 watts when bridged or in 2 ohm mode.. They sounded absolutely wonderful. The midbass hits so hard that my back window flexes and people ask where are my subs at. The tweeters can be a little harsh at times but you can adjust it using the crossovers and set it to -3 or -6dB. They are rated at 100 watts RMS but they can take more... like 150 watts more. When i ran 250 watts into the 5.25" set i was afraid.. very afraid of the monster sound that the speakers created.. at the same time i was amazed at their ability to work flawlessly under that much power. All in all an absolute wonderful component set.. definitely worth the money.

Strengths:
Great sound.. from midbass to highs. Nice adjustable crossovers. Well constructed midranges. Great powerhandling

Weaknesses:
nothing.. i have been very happy with this product... although the grills on the midranges pop off from time to time due to the sound coming from the midranges heh

Similar Products Used:
stock, sony, pioneer, kicker

Review 2 of 9

Price Paid:  $200.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 99

Summary:
Great product. Reason I got it was because I know RF products last, and it's true... I've been using these for almost two years and they still sound great. Shouldn't pay over $300 for these unless your getting it installed.

Strengths:
great value for the price. lots of power, especially in the midbass. I'm powering this component set and pioneer 6x9s with a fosgate 400a4, and the 400a4 can't keep up with the potential these speakers produce.

Weaknesses:
the tweeters are able to move around, it's all good until they start falling out of the socket. had to take it back to where i got it installed and they hot glued it to the socket. Now they don't move around anymore. could use a bit more crispness in the highs.

Similar Products Used:
MB quart. As far as the bang for the buck, I don't believe this component set can be passed for the price. Although top of the line MBs do sound nicer.

Review 3 of 9

Price Paid:  $129.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 fnq1514

Summary:
these are rf's top of the line speakers, and sound like it. they have great sound, handle great power. im driving them off a mtx 5ch amp, and they sound great. im using the woofers as mid basses as i have a sub already. the speakers are not dominated by any one characteristic, but rather, reproduce a wide sound spectrum. these really knocked my socks off! best of all i only paid $129 (yes american dollars) for these speakers brand new w/warranty. the only problem is that these speakers have a little resonance/distortion, but not really anything at all. the boston rc-620's are also very good speakers, but are well over $240. the bostons have less distortion, but are dominated by high frequency reproduction. the rf's have a much fuller sound reproduction

Strengths:
great value, paid half of retail, great full rich sound

Weaknesses:
little distortion

Similar Products Used:
boston rc-620 rally

Review 5 of 9

Summary:
Great speaker. The price is better than a lot of others out there. I wouldn't say I haven't heard better but I was very happy with $350.00 for good sound.

Strengths:
Very good mid-bass. Imaging and detail are good from the tweeter. The build quality is very nice. The mid-driver basket is very solid.

Weaknesses:
The basket is a bit deep. I used build-outs in my car. The mid drivers in the back keep jetisoning the grills.

Similar Products Used:
Eclipse, Alpine, MB, Infinity and such.
