Price Paid:  $40.00 from ultimate electronics

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 p18s4 or 8" punch stage 1

Summary:
i bought 2 of these little 8's to compensate in the front for the bass output of my infinity kappa 6 x 9's, which hit like an entry level 10" off of an amp but without the deeper notes. well for what i bought them for, they sounded good and did the job i was looking for. they were at half the rated rms. then, when i wrecked that car (without those subs in the car at the time) i decided to hook them up with the one amp that was powering my infinity kappa's (rear) and kappa perfects (front) and rockfords to just the rockfords. i finally herd them for what they could really do. and i'll tell ya, they surprised me with their excursion and hit, being an entry level 8" and all. but then they sounded like absolute crap! and well within the recomended rms! fyi; p18s4 stats, 300w peak, 150rms. i had it going off of a jensen, (which rates their amps true, i don't care what anyone says. the newer ones are even CEA-2006 Compliant.) amp bridged which pushes 400w peak, 200w rms by 2 at full gain set only at about half gain, so no more than 110w rms. and also, when coming back from a city a ways away (one and a half hour drive) on of them blew..... well within the recomended rms!

Strengths:
hit good, but not great, for an entry level 8". especially off of only a 26oz ceramic type magnet.

Weaknesses:
overated, apparently. not sufficient kooling for long trips in a sealed box (will blow). sound like crap at above about 85w rms.
