from Boomer''s McCloud''s Year / Model Reviewed: Sony XM-7527 Summary: I bought this amp on blind faith. First of all, it was used but looks new. Only a few minor scratch''s. The guy at the shop showed me dealer cost because I tried to get the amp for like cheaper then the one hundred he was asking. Dealer cost for them was like 217+. All in all, I got my hundred out of it. I''m pushing 2 Sony 10" Xplod''s in Hi-Current mode at 2 ohm''s. Strengths: Pushing my 2 10"s at 300W for the pair and they HIT!!!
The design, how all the connections are at one end and can be covered with the silver trim. Looks nice and clean.
The price I payed....have heard, last of the good Sony''s to date....the new solid unit''s aren''t as good. Weaknesses: Does get a bit warm in 2 ohm mode...but can be easily helped by keeping it a well ventilated area. Going to add a fan for heat exhaust and I''m not planning on trying the 600W x 1 (4 ohm) in Hi-Voltage only.... Similar Products Used: Jensen 500 Watt 2 Channel (the old blue one''s)
