Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
this is a good piece of equipment for the price. I have it connected to two DLS subs and it sounds very good. it shakes the entire car when played very loud . There´s no noticeable distortion . Though it gets quite hot sometimes. I have never used it to run fullrange speakers so i don´t know if it is so great in the entire frequency range.

Strengths:
* Has just the right amount of power for a pair of 10 in svc subs. * gives you full control of the sound with built in adjustable LPF and HPF networks plus a dual 5 band equalizer * looks great also. The finish is cool, and the dual led v/u meters give it a nice look. along with the three leds indicating status (protection, thermal, on-off)

Weaknesses:
* sometimes , when played really loud it gets hot quickly. * more power would help, but then again, can you ever have enough power ?

Similar Products Used:
alpine, jensen, pyramid (piece of crap)

Year / Model Reviewed:

Summary:
ignore my review above - after about 2 weeks of use (not abuse)powering my mids it became noisey as hell .i tried everything to fix it, i even went to a couple professional instal places for opinions .after i told the instal people everthing that i tried they agreed that i had done every noise check in the book. i dunno , maybe the amp is faulty or just crap , i dunno ,but i can tell you that i hooked up the same speakers to an alpine mrv f307 and it sounds fantastic .so you be the judge, my advise, save your money and buy an alpine.

Strengths:
looks cool mounted , gives some control over brightness

Weaknesses:
its a piece of sh*t

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $218.00

Summary:
ive read the reviews on the sony amps and they run the gammit from "id never buy sony " to "geat amp".well id have to say i like this little amp and the power it has is sufficiant unless your a competition guy.id have to say if you want an amp that wont break the bank and has plenty of power for the average listener, buy this amp.

ps.im running a 12" vega vega series in a ported box in the trunk and it does overpower the midrange if your not careful.but what do you expect from a beast of a sub like that.

Strengths:
you can adjust it with the 5 band equalizer that it comes with and it has plenty of power for my application.im powering four 6.5" speakers and it never clips

Weaknesses:
none so far

Similar Products Used:
jbl p180.2 -its a good amp i but i like the eq on the sony it really helps with the overall adjustment.
