Review 2 of 8

Price Paid:  $330.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1993/Eagle Talon not the ugly 92 or 95 but the half better looking one like the 98

Summary:
I love it so much that I bought an Extended Warranty for $29. Never need to use it. D@n what a west of money with that $29 I could of got a remote. What was I thinking. I know remeber have the best deck at the time and watch all the honey looking at me as I drove by thumping my Shhh. And ask if they want a ride. Man even my friend want to buy it from me. I said no because they were too cheap to pay me full price yup thats how friends are. Then I told them that I could input text of girls name, and number on here they went crazy. Tina 612-4862-3214

This number does not work but you got the idea if you own one.
Man they are still saleing this deck for $250 it hardly drope in price. Not like others. Maybe this deck will become a leadgen like the A track or mybe Not!

Strengths:
Long Lasting, a lot of power 45wx4, allow you to input text,Great for quick entering phone number when you don't have paper. This babe help me remember 6 fine look women phone number.

Weaknesses:
When it gets cold out side the color blur, I mean very cold not your AVG cold I mean F cold out side. Should of come with a free remote I mean my vcr is cheaper then this deck and it came with a remote. Hey people who makes microwave make one that comes with a remote.

Similar Products Used:
This was the God Deck back in 98 now new decks have kick it's butt can I swear on this, with fancy color but their power level are still around the 40w to 50w. So this deck is kicking but it was worth the money.

Review 3 of 8

Summary:
The volume knob feels cheap and inconsistent; the display rarely works properly; the FM reception is the worst I've ever heard, even if a station comes in well, the SQ is horrible; the line-level outputs cut in and out, and recently have begun to emit static regardless of source; the line voltage is LOW, much lower than the specified 2V; overall sound quality is very poor. And to top it off, Sony's customer service is non-existent.

Strengths:
It hasn't caught on fire - yet.

Weaknesses:
See below.

Review 4 of 8

Price Paid:  $350.00

Summary:
i would recommend this product for anyone with a system because of the separate sub control, that one feature makes it well worth the $.

Strengths:
The cd player NEVER skips over bumps. I really like the seperate sub control.

Weaknesses:
The stereo seems to have some face plate related problems in the cold (below freezing), it seems to think the face plate is off and shuts off, but it will turn right back on.

Similar Products Used:
compared to any other cd player this one has unbelieveable skip protection, it just won't skip over bumps.

Review 5 of 8

Year / Model Reviewed:
 cdx-680

Summary:
Would not purchase sony again. I used to be a big proponent of sony stuff. In the last three years I have purchased 3 sony products. My home receiver went bad, with an indredible service fiasco. This was followed by my sony amp running my sub overheating anytime it was used over 45 minutes. This amp was eventually replaced. Now this car deck is going out, and will drop all channels except the sub off and on.

Sony has become a mass marketer of crap, leveredging their long standing record of quality components. It will catch up with them eventually, I for one will never buy sony again.

Strengths:
Good sounding, nice audio controls.

Weaknesses:
Dropping channels, so I only get sub output.

Similar Products Used:
Kenwood in my other car has been a lot more reliable, no complaints though I do like the controls on the sony better.
