Review 2 of 16

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Sony Xplod CDX-C5000X

Summary:
HORRIBLE. What is the point in having a CD Player with Subs if it's just gonna skip like this. Skipped since day 1. Sometimes it wont even read a perfectly scratch-free CD. It does have a decent screen with plenty of lights if your into that. The output is very questionable. Turning it up halfway will make it start clipping which sounds horrible. I am not happy with it. I should have kept the CD player I had instead of switching with my friend.

Strengths:
Nice screen and remote.

Weaknesses:
Horrible skip protection. Bad high-output.

Similar Products Used:
Some Volfenhag CD player. Worked a lot better.

Review 5 of 16

Price Paid:  $220.00 from Circuit City

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1999 CDX-7000

Summary:
First reciever I bought to get into car audio. Worked good for maybe six months, then couldn't read CD's, sub-out would cut in and out, remote turn-on lead malfunctione, and skipped horribly. First and last time I ever bought anything Sony for car audio. I wouldn't wish this thing on my worst enemy. Is good only on paper. Learned my lesson: buy an Alpine!

Strengths:
CD Text and nice, non-motorized display

Weaknesses:
The whole thing is a weakness. To boil it all down, its a piece of trash!
