Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $600.00 from Webers TV- La Grange

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Soundstream EGA 1700D

Strengths:
Extremely Powerful and affordable.

Weaknesses:
Boring look. I hid the amp. Power hungry. It is supposed to be a class D efficent amp but it is not at all. I performed a amperage test and it pulled 100 amps, which is a ton of draw. I have a 20 farad cap on this amp, and it drops the cap down to 10 volts when it hits.

Summary:
This amp is very ,very powerful. It has a very good crossover Freq. I have 2 15 inch Kove Audio Armagedden subs wired in 1 ohm mono and it has not cut off or gotten hot at all. For a class D amp it has good sound quality and tonality. I had a Kove Audio ZD2000V, it was great and clear, but the soundstream 1700D played alot louder and hit alot lower in freq. If you have a good upgraded electrical system, this amp. will slaughter your subs.
