2006 SPLX 12/4

Summary:
First off, this Sub is just flat out amazing. I used to have a Kicker CVR 12" on a 750.1 Kicker ampliier and I was ok with it, but I wanted more. So I stepped up and bought a Planet Audio 1900.1 amplifier with a 12" SPLX Soundstream subwoofer brand new. I built my own custom ported box to 33 hertz and installed it. I was kind of afriad to turn it up because I knew how loud it would be. I turned it on and, I nearly choked on my soda. This sub was pounding out so much bass in my single cab pickup truck, that it made a bunch of stuff in the garage fall off of the walls. This thing was about 5 times as loud as the Kicker setup I had. After the initial hit, I turned the bass knob off of low, and put it on high, and cranked it to 3/4 volume and I had to get out of the car, it was making my head hurt. This is one of the baddest subs I've owned yet, and will always keep this subwoofer. The magnet structure is truly amazing. It's a double stacked magnet, with the magnet weighing in at 192 ounces.(16 pounds) This sub is truly amazing, I've ne ver heard another single 12" sub setup sound like mine, it's flatout insane. I dB'ed it at half volume and it hit 145.7dB on the meter. If you can afford this sub, buy it and put 2000 watts on it, and it will shake the ground.

Strengths:
Extremely hard bass, capable of hitting some of the lowest frequencies.

Weaknesses:
none
