Summary: This exhaust is awesome. I just installed it last weekend and I brought it used from a guy in CA, the guy had it for about two years, so it was broken in. You would think the exhaust would be rusting or crack. I got the whole cat-back and took me about 1 hour to install the whole system and it was super easy and perfect fit. The exhaust tip is still shining and not bend, but the can itself is a turned a yellowish brown color, but my kit covers the car. I took the pipe out and it was clean, not loud and fobby like the 5zigen fireball or greddy evo. It's quiet when you're just crusing, but when you gas it, it's a deep roar that screams motor. I didn't really gain much HP, but torpue pulls a little faster with my CIA.
Strengths: Great sound, great oval look, great price I paid,
Weaknesses: The can isn't chrome anymore, not much hp gain, and they have discontiuted this exhaust at Tanabe.
Similar Products Used: Stock exhaust, magnaflow, greddy evo,

Summary: i'm aware of the attention that integras get so i am VERY glad that this exhaust the quietest aftermarket exhaust i've ever heard and has a relatively stock look (not a bazooka launcher shaped muffler)...gains were very noticeable as i took my car to the 1/8 mile track after installation and got .4 of a second improvement in just the 1/8 mile!
Strengths: very quiet and deep, doesn't get any negative attention
has tremendous amounts of gain (for me at least)
Weaknesses: i've heard stories about how the exhaust will get loud over time, hasn't happened to me yet though
Similar Products Used: stock exhaust (about the same noise level wise, tanabe is deeper though)

Summary: Okay, let me say that the build quality and performance gains of the G-Power are great. Let me also say what everyone else has yet to experience. The G-Power will become VERY loud over time. I''ve had it on my car about 2-1/2 years now. About one year of that time running a JRSC. Just prior to putting on the SC it started to become annoyingly loud. It is droning at highway speeds. I really have to talk loud just to be heard above it. Now keep in mind, it retains that nice deep, aggressive tone. But people seem to think this is a quiet exhaust. It is a true striaght through design and after about a year to two years your going to realize that the same wool packing (I know there is steel in there too) that makes it sound so aggressive and low, will also blow out and cause the exhaust to become exceedingly loud. I''m dwelling on this point but I cannot stress it enough being that I am exposed to the exhaust''s noises every day.
One good thing to note is that the B pipe is tucked nice. Many systems have the middle section hanging low....not the Tanabe. The look of the muffler, especially the tip is very smooth and classic. Also, there is a very noticeable gain in the high RPM range. It really un-corks the engine.
Strengths: Great quality
Awsome one of a kind tip
Pipes are all tucked well
Good fit
Noticeable gain in performance
Weaknesses: Starts of quiet, then gets LOUD!!
If you want to hear this loudness I keep refering to just put any form of forces induction on your engine. It will sound like you have a Thermal in no time.

Summary: I fully recommend the Tanabe G-Power Exhaust System to any enthusiast. If I had to buy another exhaust sytem, it would be from Tanabe. To see pictures of the exhaust click on http://www.designical.com/car.html
Strengths: - nice construction: clean welds, nice polish
- easy installation
- b-pipe doesn''t hang low like Greddy
- not loud, very quiet unless if you floor it (quieter than greddy, same as RS-R)
- deep sound
- perforance was notable
- includes Polishing Wax for the Muffler
Weaknesses: - ceramic coating on b-pipe cracked while spraying pressured water on it after about a year of use

Summary: I was looking for an exhaust that produced horsepower, had a great sound and would not be embarrasingly loud (I''m in my 30''s lol). The G-Power exhaust fit all my criteria. I was leaning towards a Greddy SP, but my local dealer showed the two exhausts side by side and the G-Power had a far better build quality.
Strengths: Build Quality, horsepower gains, looks, and deep throaty sound upon acceleration.
Weaknesses: Tanabe has discontinued the G-power line-up for sale in the US.
Similar Products Used: Stock exhaust - no comparison.
