Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $80.00 from Visions

Year / Model Reviewed:
 PS10

Summary:
So far so good. I''ve had it for over a year now and no problems at all. I''m running a Kicker X252 amp w/ the sub and it seems to be a great combo if your a little tight on cash. This setup ran me in total of about $330 (installed myself) w/ cables.

Strengths:
Shake the car bass. Nice and clear when playing it loud. Gets the job done.

Weaknesses:
none.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $75.00 from Sounddomain.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Summary:
Well, I bought this model hoping it to be a fair SQ sub (for use in my daily driver, not my show car). I was very surprised though that it is very well rounded. The SQ responce, on Bach''s Air is very tight and nicely controled. Also, the deep thumps on my Booty Jams cd is full and loud but not muddy. Its built very well. The rubber suround fitting for the nickel injected woofer and together they produce a good median sub. It won''t match up with A/D/S or Focal but for the money I cannot complain. If you are looking for a cheap bass solution forget Kenwood or Alpine subs go with Ultimate Sound because you just get more for your money.

Strengths:
Bass responce, in both SQL and SPL applications. Very low power requirments for good sound. (80-175)

Weaknesses:
The PS10 does need a very clean source and very clean power. It has a tendency it resonate anp distortion however and doesn''t do well with fading rear outputs, a sub out is best. So,if you want to use a Jensen amp or some such just dont but this Sub.

Similar Products Used:
JL Audio 10w6, Focal 135w, A/D/S 310rs. Kenwood powered 8" tube.

I really feel like I got a great deal on this sub. I thought, OK, it''s cheap and it will give me a little bass and sound ok. Well, it gives me a LOT of bass and sounds GREAT. Good deal for a cheap good sub. I have it in a ported tube.

Strengths:
Gets loud, does not distort, hits all notes evenly. Price.

Weaknesses:
NONE
