DESCRIPTION

2010 saw the introduction of the sixth generation GTI that delivered a slick combination of sports car-like precision and tuned driving excitement in a multi-purpose hatchback design. New standard equipment for the 2011 GTI is Bluetooth technology and 18 inch Detroit alloy wheels. With an MSRP that starts at $23,690, the 2011 VW GTI is a great value at an affordable price.

Power mill of the VW GTI is a 2.0L 16-valve DOHC turbocharged and intercooled 4-cylinder engine with FSI direct fuel injection that produces 200 HP at 5,700 rpm and 207 lbs.-ft. of torque from 1,800 all the way to 5,000 rpm. With the standard 6-speed manual transmission, the GTI reaches 0-60 in 6.8 seconds. EPA estimates rate fuel economy at 31 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg for city driving.

The GTI is available with an optional automatic Direct-Shift Gearbox® transmission which gets it to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds from a standstill. The 2011 GTI’s fuel economy is improved when equipped with the DSG transmission, which ranks an EPA-estimated 33 mpg in highway driving, and 24 mpg in city driving.

The 2011 VW GTI comes standard with 24-hour Roadside Assistance for three years or 36,000 miles (whichever occurs first) as standard coverage by a third party provider. In addition, every 2011 GTI model offers the following limited warranties:
