Year / Model Reviewed: 2005 V8 AWD w/ 7 seats, heated seats/mirrows, 300Wts stereo, leather seating, power driver/pass seats
Summary: The V8 model is an excellent car/SUV -that's right: it is an SUV that drives/handles like a luxury sedan. V8 comes standard w/ AWD, 7 seats, leather seating. Ours is late 2005 model w/ park assist, folding mirrors, auto dimming rear view mirror, premium stereo, heated seats/mirrors, xenon Headlights. It drives and handles better then most of mid-size sedans (well, not including BMW, Acura, Infinity), but at same time offers great road view, the ride is very good combo of comfort and road feeling, very good handling in turns/quick line change on a highway. We test drove RX330 and chose Volvo. Very good ergonomics-everything within reach. 7 seats is a good option -last row seats as comfy as the fronts, led room is less, but you can move middle row seats forward to accommodate last row's passengers.
Strengths: Power, handling, good sound
Weaknesses: SUV's fuel economy

from Normwagner
Year / Model Reviewed: 2004 XC 90 Turbo
Summary: I bought this SUV and have had NOTHING but problems with it. I figured it was a volvo and they are bullet proof. Well my car was taken into the shop on 3 occassions aregarding the check engine light, I was told it was nothing. Now that I am out of warrently not only with Normwagner, but with Volvo. My engine blew and now I have had it in the shop 3 months to replace it. I was sold a vehicle that had previous engine issues,I did all of the required maintance and a vehicle of this price and endurance shouldn;'t have blown the engine at 51,000 miles. I can't want to get rid of this piece of crap. Its beutiful to look at but I feel if your going to spend that kind of money get some more durable.
Strengths: Radio,seats,navigation
Weaknesses: Blind spots, dependability.
