The V-4 supplants the V-3 as the largest
supercharger in Vortech's extensive line-up.
V-4 is designed with the serious racer in mind.
Initially available in the new X-trim
configuration, the V-4 features wide,
heavy-duty gears; an investment cast 355 T61
aluminum impeller; and a straight discharge
compressor housing. The V-4 is capable of
producing CFM flow levels in the 1,700 range
with horsepower potentials exceeding 1,300 HP (depending upon the
application). Vortech recommends the use of our Racing Bypass Valve with
all V-4 applications. Operating at 12 psi, this supercharger is nearly twice as
efficient as a Roots-type supercharger, thus saving 125 hp in parasitic losses
