Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $170.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1992 Taurus SHO

Summary:
This was a tire to replace my Intermediates. Really a much better tire than those Yokohamas. They are very civilized for a ultra-high performance tire. Turn-in is crisp, dry handling is very good, but as with most Yokohamas, the wet grip is not as good. I liked these tires very much, but decided to go ahead on a great deal I got for the Nexus line. In the few months I had them, however, their tread wore a little faster than I would have expected.

Strengths:
Turn-in, dry grip, quiet.

Weaknesses:
Wet grip, tread life.

Review 2 of 2

Year / Model Reviewed:
 92 300zx turbo

Summary:
still a good tire but I returned mine inside of thirty days, too noisy, a step back from their a008p tire for sure, wouldn't spend the money on it, could buy another tire just as noisy and average for less money.

Strengths:
30 day trial period, good novice tire really lets driver know when approaching limit, high speed rating Y-186 mph sustained!

Weaknesses:
noisy approaching limit, new silica compound doesn't feel like it offers anymore grip wet or dry as advertised, expensive no tread life warranty

Similar Products Used:
gatorback, a008p, avs intermediate, xgt, re71, strictly for novice.
