Summary: P195/60R14's Front P235/60R15's Rear
Good all-around tire for commuting, and driving hard. The tires grip the road very well. Very important when 65% of your car's weight is in the back (true rear-mounted engine. NOT transverse). If the tires do lose grip, they are quick to regain it. But if the tires are cold, watch out! When cold, these tires have a tendancy to slip on almost any surface, wet or dry. Braking hard @ 40 MPH, I spun my car 360°. Never had them in snow, but once warmed, they can grip very well on wet surfaces, and even a few inches of flood water.
Strengths: Excelent grip when dry. good grip when wet. High speed rating
Weaknesses: Can't hardly grip any surface when cold. I'm surprised they don't slide off my rims @ night in the wintertime.

Summary: These were my first set of Yokohama's. They were 235/45 on 17 inch wheels. I have since been replaced with AVS S1-Z and then the Nexus. These were the first ultra high performance tires I ever bought. The dry grip was excellent, the turn-in was good and I only used them in the summer. Don't even think about it in the snow, please. They were $110 in 1996. A great tire then and now, only many more tires heve surpassed in technology. They are still a great value, but you need to look to Yokohama for better summer tires. They just don't compare anymore with the likes of the AVS Sport.
Strengths: Dry handling, noise levels.
Weaknesses: Wet handling, old design.

Summary: I would recommend the Yokohama AVS Intermediate to pretty much anyone who wants good performance out of a cheap tire. They're one of the best values out there, an I might buy another set to replace mine that split. I drive my car pretty hard and fast, and these tires held up pretty well. Make plans on peeling out without effort though. I have an automatic transmission and had trouble keeping the tires from spinning in acceleration.
Strengths: -really good grip in turns -good cornering -cool sidewall -really responsive -good in wet and dry -good value -"Yokohama" name
Weaknesses: -really friggin' loud -spin really easily in acceleration -the belts shifted in the tires, causing them to split

Summary: I would recommend it because of the cheap price tag it has and that it can outperform many tires that cost twice as much. I definitely would purchase another set for my stock rims on my Acura but would definitely not get them for the 17 in rims that are going on my car next year. Willing to try the Nitto nt555 radials because of the stiffer sidewall and the large contact patch.
Buy it if you don't have a lot of money but avoid it if you like to yank turns at 70 + miles an hour. Almost lost it a couple of times with these tires but never with the Falkans.
Strengths: Superior traction both in wet and dry weather. Very inexpensive. Good looking tread pattern. Not that noisy at highway speeds.
Weaknesses: Although these are high performance tires, Z-rated with low tread-wear design, they have poor sidewall design. I have a suspension set up for extreme cornering capability and the flexing of the sidewall makes it a little scary hanging sharp turns. The highway ride is way smoother than the previous stock and high performance tires I had before. Very noticeable because the ride was very harsh with the same suspension set up and the other tires.

Summary: If you like hanging it out on the edge, these tires are a lot of fun. The fist time I took them "canyon racing" they cornered so well my face would sag!!! Loved these tires but couldn't get more than 20,000 out of them.
Strengths: Great grip even at full tread depth, cornering traction superior. Inexpensive, best "bang for buck"
Weaknesses: Not super quite, wore out fast ($70 bucks a tire, big deal!) Not a good tire for the snow!
