Chevrolet Volt Hybrid | EV

Chevrolet Volt Hybrid | EV

DESCRIPTION

The first of a new generation of cars, the Chevy Volt will be an electric car with a gasoline engine onboard to help recharge its batteries. GM claims it offers the environmental benefits of an electric car without the limited range. Chevrolet calls the Volt an Extended-Range Electric Vehicle, or “an electric car that can create its own electricity.” It isn’t a hybrid, nor is it a purely electric car. Instead, the Chevy Volt is an electric car with a gasoline-powered generator that can kick in to recharge its batteries when they are low. Owners will be able to charge their Volt from a wall outlet at home, and Chevy claims that the Volt should be able to travel up to 40 miles on electric power alone.

Strength:

Yes, the 2019 Volt is a good choice in the used hybrid and electric car class. It has a better all-electric range than many other plug-in hybrids, and its engine has enough power for most driving situations. Additionally, the Volt has a user-friendly infotainment system and comfortable front seats www.concretecontractorscharleston.com

Strength:

It's eco-friendly since it's an electric car. It's very smooth to drive and you don't have to worry about the batteries getting drained because you can still drive using gasoline while the batteries are charging. Highly recommended by a drywall professional like me!

Weakness:

So far, so good. i don't have any complaints.

Strength:

The Chevrolet Volt remains one of the best plug-in hybrids on the market, with impressive all-electric range and everyday practicality.Unlike many plug-in hybrids that have about 20 miles or less of electric-only range, the Volt can travel up to 53 miles before its gasoline engine fires up. Model Reviewed: Volt

Strength:

** No range anxiety normally associated with EV cars
** Feels and drives like a real car with respectable performance
** Over-engineered, but everything is designed well and it works
** Slick exterior styling
Comfortable interior and well laid out

Weakness:

** Expensive technology drives up the cost of initial buy-in
** Not eligible for California tax credits
** Waiting for more charging stations to be installed
** Hatchback design, but cargo area is still smallish

The Chevy Volt works well as a primary car. It can seat 4 passengers comfortably, quietly runs in EV mode, and can go for weeks without visiting the gas pump if you have someplace to plugin when parked.

Driving the Volt is similar to driving an economy car with regards to performance. Not particularly fast, but it does accelerate with verve and climbing hills (long or short) is not a huge strain on the drivetrain. The engineers even included a "mountain mode" which pre-charges the battery for extra oomph to get you over the hill.
