Strength:

Of course the reliability you can count on with a Honda/Acura and the all-inclusive luxury features (full leather, wood trim, CD, Bose, heated seats, climate control, sunroof, smooth ride with strong engine power, electric everything for a one, very affordable luxury price, all for under 30K. I've had this car for 2-1/2 years and it has been great to me.

Weakness:

With the exception of a squeekie sunroof which the dealer fixed promptly, the styling is the big peeve. The Acura had everything I wanted for a great price but I was craving a bit more "european" styling closer to a BMW or Mercedes and til this day the styling still bothers me. If it weren't for the syling - I would give this car a raving review of all 5 stars.

Overall a great value for the money. I looked at all other "Luxury" vehicles and for the price and all inclusive luxury features - the TL was the best choice.

Strength:

Nice ride, sporty but not too hard. Relatively quiet but it has develped some wind noise around the windows. Very responsive, handles well.

Weakness:

After complete alignment and rotation of tires the car pulls to the right on expressway driving. No remote trunk entry, parking brake blocks view and access to the heated seats switch and fog lights.

I think at $21K with 26K miles it was a good value. Great transportation with the Honda reliability.

Compared to the Toyota Camry, I think it is more responsive, but not as quiet.

Fit and Finish first rate, solid ride and handling. Engine and transmission are flawless. Controls and interior is well-thoughout. Paint finish perfect. Xenon lights are a step as was from sealed beam to halogen Halogen to Xenon !

Weakness:

Would like more instrumentation ie oil pressure, ammeter and memory seats

The best value for the money, dealers are a 'class-act'.

Strength:

I own a sliver 2000 3.2 TL. I love the engine and the beautiful sound it makes when accelerating. Also, the engine is beautiful to just look at.

Weakness:

Haven't found any yet, but wish it had auto-headlights on and off and auto-door locking when when the car is moving. Dealer won't budge on the price... the Nissan Maxima is a far better deal price wise. Cup holder is a joke between the two front buckets. Come on Honda, can't you do a better job and making cup holders that work? The manual sequential sports shifter is reall slow in reacting and I don't like the fact that it automatically shifts from 1st to 2nd.

I really do enjoy driving this vehicle. Lots of getup and go to it. I haven't had any of the quality issues that others seem to be having. I'd buy the same car all over again... it's a great vehicle.

Strength:

Solid peformer. Strong, and enjoyable engine. Quiet ride, good brakes. Great HVAC controls. 5 speed sport shift is fun. Honda mechanicals. Warranty is first rate. 4 airbags, and zenon lights are excellent.

Weakness:

Paint is thin. Some squeaks on the drivers seatbelt anchor. Fake wood in an Acura? Radio gets static when cell phone rings. Needs wider tires, and a handbrake. Slow upshifts in manual mode.

Highly recommended. Fantastic price for the the standard features. Hard to find that kind of interior room available, and the VTEC engine sings. Wish the exterior was a bit more aggressive. Great value for the money.

I added the ground effects, rear spoiler, and crome multi-spoke rimms and I love the looks of this car! Can't understand why everyone says it's conservative? The interior is superb, leather is high quality, stereo is great as well, as is the 6 disc changer.

Weakness:

Fit and finish was a little off, I assumed there could be some problems with it since it was built in America and not Japan, I was right.. All fit and fit issues have been address to my dealer and most have been corrected!

I will most certianly buy another when my lease is up on this one, The sport shift is fun and the accessories truly make this car look the way it should. Total price was $32,272.00 with all accessories, tax and licenes fees. Great deal I recommend to anyone, and let's hope that they make a 3.2 TL S-type (everyone write acura)!!!

Had a 1997 Lexus ES300, lease was up and Acura was to good of a deal to pass up.. Lexus has become way to expensive and was not even close as far as options go, (but my Lexus had superior fit & finish) ala built in Japan!

Strength:

A lot of features are standard. Overall Elegant design.

Weakness:

There are a lot of fit and finish problems (especially on the exterior). Spacing or fit on the metal panels are not uniform (for example, front fender and the door. It is different on both sides). Four big flaws are:
* Trunk Lid does not sit leveled when closed. Dealer tried to fix it with no success. In my mind it means either the Trunk lid is faulty or the rear quarter panels are not installed correctly.
* There is an obvious color difference between the body and the bumpers (especially on the rear bumper). Dealer said that it is normal. I cannot beleive a manufacturer will sell a car that does have color mismatch between panels.
* There are rattles in the interior of the car, especially from the sunroof area, doors and the dashboard. It is getting more and more.
* Driver seat is not comfortable at all. It is not square to the steering wheel, and tilted towards down on the rear-left. During and After my first long distance travel (450 miles) with this car, I had back pain.

Price seems to be great. But I have questions about the quality of the work done on this car. Initial impresion was great, but the long term satisfaction is not so good due to the promlems mentioned earlier. Next time, I would look closer to the competion (Lexus LS300, Audi A6, Inifinty I 30)

Please contact me if see similar problems and how / if the dealer fixed them. Thanks.

Excellent value, great ride, excellent finish and quality, superb sound system. generous trunk and rear seat room given the size of the car

Weakness:

uses premium gas, steering ratio is very slow for a sport oriented car,it is impossible to put 2 coffees in the front cup holders-they are too close together

It is a great car that is fun to drive. In my opinion it is by far the best value car in it's class.Given my past bad experiences with all of the" Big 3" I only considered Honda or Toyota based vehicles.

The Acura TL 3.2 2002 is a excellent car and good for many families budget. With V6 and with 225 horse power and full equip at the price of 30 000 is a excellent deal.Engine is great and it has a quiet ride and just love the bose sound system.

Weakness:

the suspension could be better but it is still excellent.

I gave this product a 5 on 5 because this is a great car and it could last very long if you take care of it.

I would compare to the Infiniti I30, they both have simliar function and that car also is a worth of buying. Almost the same great features. I choose the Acura because of the exterior and the interior styling.

One hell of an engine! It just wails!!! Get it past 5000 rpm and just listen to the soundtrack! The ride is firmer and the handling is more crisp. NAV system is AWESOME! Styling is very classy...and did I mention the engine?

Weakness:

TOOOOOOOOO easy to go fast in! No stick!

WOW!! What else can be said? I already have 2 2000 Honda Accords and I couldn't resist getting this Acura! The base TL is a very nice car...but the Type-S just rocks!! The engine wails! Amazingly value packed for the price and you couldn't get a better powertrain!
