Model Reviewed: I don't have a BMW - thank God!! LOL!

Strength:

It's nice, a sporty car -WHEN (and a BIG "WHEN")it's not in the shop! LOL!! U own a piece! ...a piece of nada! LOL!!

Weakness:

ALWAYS in the shop- just read allllllllll these reviews from owners just waiting to get rid of their hunk of junkers after the warranty expires!! Such an unreliable car - it make absolutely NO sense to get one!

Face it, for the same price, you can get a Lexus IS 300 that is MOOOOOOORE reliable than ANY BMW! And at the same price, you get more features!

OK, now don't mix apple and oranges when saying the IS is slower than the BMW. It depends which model and whether the BMW is a stick or not(and the IS will be available with a stick this month so stick IT up your ass with that remark!). Some BMWs are slower, some are faster. Either way, read (if you can) any auto mags and you'll see the reviews on both cars that the Lexus usually comes out 1st place in value! So don't say that it's over priced. What is overpriced is a car that can't stay on the road cause it's in the pit stop all the time getting fixed!

Radio -can you say El Garbage?? What is it, a Becker? Read the BMW owners reviews on that one! LOL!!! IS 300 - 6 disc in dash CD changer w/ Tape deck!! HA! Plus the other Lexus have Mark Levinson systems. They make $50K home amps.

Everyone owns one. Not unique.

Expensive- even BMW owners can believe my car cost less than theirs! They'd rather own it!

Don't get me wrong, the 3 series is a real nice car. Performance wise it and the Lexus are about the same, but for the MONEY, RELIABILITY, STYLING, the Lexus RULES!!!

Looks Like a Civic! LOL!! Funny how I hear people say an IS 300 looks like a civic when in reality, everytime i see a car that I think is a civic, it's one of those 3 series Hitler mobiles :) I see another IS on the road and it looks TOTALLY different from ANY car on the road! - This I've also been told by other people.

Strength:

Good brakes and steering is nice. And of course, you get the OOHS and AAHS from people when you tell them you have a Beemer (but not worth it if it keeps breaking down...)

Weakness:

Where do I begin...I've had this car for 8 months and have already dropped at least $5000 in it to fix it. The BMW dealership I was taking it to obviously had incompetent mechanics, wonder how they can charge $95/hr for labor when they can't even tell if my a/c blows cold (I live in hell on earth - AZ too). This car has been in the shop (I kid you not) every month since I purchased it. Interior lining of convertible top coming loose (2x), a/c unit doesn't blow cold - fixed 2x, brakes (don't forget you HAVE to buy rotors with them, a good $500 job for just front brakes, belts breaking, faulty seatbelt feature, brake circuit light comes on constantly which the dealership says it's just a flaw that will cost me $200 to fix yet there's really nothing wrong, interior is plain and noisey - I have to replace a couple of clips so that the interior door plans will stay flush against the door instead of making this annoying chirping noise (my friend asked me where I keep my crickets), audio system is mediocre - I've added my own speakers and their 6-disc cd changer is not compatible with any other stereo than the stock - so no use to me cause the stock radio sucks, simple things like the cup holders could've (no should've) been designed better, the leather wears terribly, interior lights are going out and are expensive to replace.
The list goes on and on. Honestly, I'm going to sell this car and buy something else. Always wanted a luxury car, but I would expect less problems for the money, this is ridiculous. I think leasing a new one would actually be cheaper with less problems, then when the thing really starts to break down, you can turn it in. Wouldn't suggest purchasing a used BMW.

Over-rated car, looks luxurious but lacks reliability.

My first car was a Geo Storm hatchback, both give me just as many problems, but the Geo was cheaper to fix.
I should've kept my Regal, with almost 200,000 miles on it, it still ran better than this BMW with only 50,000 miles.
