Chrysler 300M Luxury

Chrysler 300M Luxury

DESCRIPTION

Chrysler launched the completely new, sport-oriented 300M in 1999. The 300M used the same front-drive chassis as the Concorde/Intrepid, but had distinct styling and a shorter body. Power was supplied by a 3.5L 253-horsepower V6 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission, though the 300M was fitted with Chrysler's AutoStick automatic, which permits manually-selected gear changes using a separate shift gate. The 300M distinguished itself with 17-inch wheels and a sport-tuned suspension and steering settings. The Performance Handling option gave the 300M more aggressive 16-inch rubber. The 300M is a 5-passenger sedan with leather upholstery and heated front seats standard.

Strength:

Horsepower, shiftable automatic, options list, appearance.

Weakness:

Pulls to the left, Window switches quit working, driver side window squeaks when opening and closing

I leased the vehicle, and would buy it when the lease expires except for the trouble I have had with the front end. The car pulls to the left. The dealer blamed it on the tires, in fact all of the dealers blamed the tires.....I think they were told to. I had the tires balanced, rotated, the alignment done....All at my own cost. Geuss what, it still pulls to the left.
I will be looking at a BMW or AUDI next time, it really is a shame, because it is a great car other than that.

Strength:

Speed, handling, and excellent ride. Great sound from Infinity Stereo system with in-dash 4 CD changer. Love analog clock and dash displays (especially at night) Autostick is awesome.
Love the sunroof and also the heated seats.

Weakness:

I closed the passenger door normally with the window halfway down and it shattered spraying glass all over interior. Dealer fixed for free.
Also windows won't roll down if it is even close to freezing outside.
Lighted speed-control switches on steering wheel would be nice as well as stereo/CD controls on wheel.
Range of keychain remote is very short.

Excellent overall ride, feel as if i'm driving a much more expensive luxury
foreign car.

Strength:

Roominess, overall appearance, great car for the price.

Weakness:

Pulls to the left, shakes when braking, tires coming loose (front left and rear right), paint chips and scratches easily. Can't seem to get any cooperation from Chrysler as I'm told I should've purchased the extended warranty. Have owned many Chrysler vehicles, altough with the lack of support, this may be the last.

I fell in love with this car immediately. Really haven't had any problems until recently, of course, after the warranty has expired. The roominess is fantastic and trunk space tremendous! The engine power is exceptional although the handling is getting quite dangerous. Have had it in the shop for steering problems, pulls severly to the left, don't let go of the steering wheel unless you are stopped. The steering wheel shakes uncontrollably when braking and my tires are constantly coming loose!! Have changed tires to try to correct all the problems, but its continuing and no one seems to know why, except to say "check the pressure in your tires" and that's the following day after picking the car up from the shop!

Strength:

excellent suspension great performance

Weakness:

does pull to the left car shakes when you apply break

I purchased the car JUNE 2000 the cars performance is extraordinary very roomy inside very stylish and sporty I was not pleased with the tires I had them rotated twice and last month I had them replaced the Goodyear tires that were on the car did not last as long as I expected them to I was very disgusted having to replace them already The front of the car shakes when I apply the brake the rotors were replaced also at around 15000 miles They could probably be replaced again but I will probably get a hassle from the dealership again I did take out the extended warranty though so hopefully that will help overall the car is exceptional i would suggest consumers to give it a try
