Strength:

Craftmanship, look,

Weakness:

Need larger wheel size (17" or 18"), e-shift should be at the shift knob, weird shift pattern

This is the first Lexus car I have ever driven. I am truely give a thump up to Lexus in craftmanship. The acceleration is moderate, but not bad. The audio system is lively, even with Premium Sound System (my GS300 did not come with Nav/Mark Levinston).

Strength:

Looks, realiability,Finish, interior, handling with Sportdesign and quietness

Weakness:

Could use a little more horsepower, twin turbo would be a start as in Supra model with In line 6. Large tires mounted on 17" rims should be offered on 300 series

After getting rid of Jaguar problem,I was looking to get back to a Lexus product.I wanted to try the GS series rather than ES 300 which I have owned in the past. I looked at both GS 430 and GS 300 and went with the GS 300.The main reason was the Sportdesign package offered with the GS 300 which gave me a more sport inspired ride. The realiability and finish on the GS is hard to beat. Looked at BMW and they were not willing to work with you, plus the fact their realiabilty has fallen down somewhat.

Looked at BMW 5 series, nice car but dealerships not the best to work with. Jaguar, forget in the shop more than on the road for X model.Did not like looks of S Model.

Strength:

Fit and Finish Smoothness

Weakness:

Transmission Handling

Overall a very good car. I was under the impression that it was more Sports Sedan than a Luxury car so I was disappointed when I realized it was more Luxury inclined. Great highway manners, starts to wallow when driven hard. A little to slow with a transmission that doesn't know the word "sporting".

Strength:

Sound system and queit ride

Weakness:

Do not get me started I thought a Lexus was suppose to be superb not at all. This is a sports car ha, ha, this car is slow, sluggish, has a cramped interior and can not put up the nubers I demand. 3 months After I purchased it I sold it and brought I real sport Sedan Cadillac Seville STS MUCH MORE AGRESSIVE Northstar 300 HP V8 WITH MORE technology than you can get from any Lexus!!!!!!

I purchased the car because of the test drive.3 months later I sold this piece of crap and lexus is suppose to be superb not hardly. Slow, sluggish, cramped cabin weak A/C and temp control had a mind of it''s own. I highly request do not buy this car if your looking for a real sports sedan. Leave that field to the kings: BMW Cadillac Jaguar

Strength:

At high speed acceleration is unbelievable. Stock audio system is clear and louder than most upgraded car system. Imagine how the Mark-Levinson System must be. Car warms up extremely fast on cold days. Great power-steering handling.

Weakness:

Ummmm.. acceleration is a bit slow until 50mph. But that''s what the GS430 is for. Weak in snow as expected for rear wheel drive vehicles.

One sick ride. Mad quiet, can''t even tell the car is running when it is stopped. Best luxury car you can buy for that money. Interior styling blows away any other luxury car.

everyting! except for some minor things

Weakness:

cupholders, I try to put a bottle of water in and when I turn the sound system to full blast, the cupholders start to break! leather seats, I just finished playing a game of tennis, and I seat on the seat with my sweaty shorts on, It permanetly sticks onto the leather what material is this really, lexus? seal fat?

am I happy! I got this car for a bargain price! cheaper than the base price of an is300. I even added the mark levinson sound system! a great car with aggresive yet classy looks. But I wish there was a manual on this baby.

Strength:

Good power off the line, good quality engineering, great re-sale equity/value

Weakness:

No Manual 5/6 speed Transmissions offered. Gas & Brake pedals too close (big feet) on numerous occasions have had foot on both at a stop light (brakes held!). Auto-Transmission quirky at low-gears, some shutter in steering column at 60mph.

This car drives like a dream! It''s the first luxury sedan I''ve purchased, and I’d do it all over again with another Lexus. The Pearl White paint is an eye catcher by itself, but the Platinum Series Rims, encourages a second look from fellow Lexus Owners also! The interior ergonomics are impeccably designed, from the back-lit (auto-intensity adjusting) instrumentation to the large push-buttoned controls (for driving gloved/clad fingers) on the Premium Sound System. In two words: “Nice Car”

Strength:

Quiet and comfortable ride. Excellent fit and finish.

Weakness:

Rough shifting or slipping transmission when accelerating at slow speeds. Audio system volume levels greatly differ from radio and from CD player. Climate control must be set 5 degrees warmer when air conditioner is running than when it is not. Climate control ? NOT!!

A good car, but not worth the money. Mostly excellent fit and finish, but shortcomings in transmission, audio system, and climate control keep it from being in a class with true luxury cars.
