Strength:

The suede leather is so cool. It keeps me warm and it does not get hot and sticky. It accelerates quick, and it comes with low profile tires and rims all ready. The clear lights are sick. I like the home link system so I dont have to have a big ugly garage door opener in my car.looks, looks, looks. I think the car is roomy enough. It's not as spacy as an accord but if it was bigger it would not be cute.

Weakness:

I hate how you have to open all the other doors in three seconds or you have to do it from the inside and I dont like how the heating system is set up. It also takes awhile to load the cd in the player. The chrome rims get dirty fast since the wheel is design to have the brake dust get on it and you can see it without taking your tire off. The cup holders even when the brakets are removed dont fit a big 711 drink. GAS!! The guy at the dealer ship said the car had good gas mileage. He was lying through his teeth unless he was comparing this car to a ferrari. Not only do you have to get premium gas but the car needed gas right after the second day I had it. I know i'm used to being spoiled by my civic that can run on empty forever but it's ridiculous how much gas it uses. I dont care I still love the car after it is an inline six. I wish it would tell you how many mile still empty instead of the miles per gallon stupid thing. It would be better if the interior lights were a cooler coloer sort of like the jettas but I guess red is easier in the eyes. It should have leather visors not cheap felt ones. The roof looks exactly like my civic. OH yeh, Why does the sunroof not open all the wa

I bought a top of the line brand new honda civic when I was 18. Now I am 21 and I got this car. It's a big jump but its worth it. my car was 29,183 with the escaine package. The chrome rims and spoiler made it a little over 30 G's, not bad! I don't have problems with the throttle yet. It drives smooth. I got the grey color since know one really has it. I love all the little sport accessories like the pedalsand door moldings. The car looks like a young person's car but it is technically a LEXUS. I love how everyone looks at me and tries to race me. Yes I'm a young girl in a Lexus.I even had a cop pull me over just to ask how much I payed for the car. Everyone wants my car even my dad. The radio is all right but not comparable to my upgraded system in my other car. I highly doubt it would beat after markets like many people have wrote. I know it looks like a souped up jetta but its not and wont have the German car electric problems. I think this car is well worth the money. When they had my car next to the es300 and gs300, I seriously thought my car looked better. The gs is played out and the es is 4 old people. The sport shift is fun but if you really like stick get a real one you wont be satisfied.

Strength:

Styling, handling, quality craftsmanship, great stereo, real "dude" car.

Weakness:

gas mileage, black interior shows every spec of dirt

Great car, awesome looks, great handling, chick magnet for sure. I get as many looks in this ride as I did when I got a new 300ZX in high school ! I have owned over 30 cars in my life and this one is the best. The idiots who keep posting the crap about this being a gay car must have an insecurity problem with their own manhood...grow up man !

Cute front lights, cute doors, cute brake lights!

Weakness:

That bleeping rear-drive system! If you master it incorrectly, you''ll spin out!

With 215 hp, that bleeping rear drive system :-) and a cool body shell, which is better than Shane McMahon''s 325i, this car has enough power to make Amy Dumas blush! You see, that''s not the case with the IS300. Race-inspired transmission, and really good braking, it''s no Corvette, that''s for sure. I''ve heard rumors that the attack on the 3-series is said to include a coupe and a convertible. Overall, you seem to notice that the IS300 is going to be a 2-door sports car in 2003. When I first saw this car, I fell in love. IS300 is so cute! I cannot believe it. (reviewer starts to think Chandra is in there) Whoops! Out of space.

Strength:

Interior, looks great. 17" tires and rims. Lexus reliabilty, I hope. Cheap entry price for lease''''s. Love the review mirror''''s digital dispaly.

Weakness:

Guy''''s who buy the car and think they are driving a Porsche. It''''s just a sporty compact from Japan.

My first Lexus. I took advantage of the $399 dollar a month lease offered by Lexus. They beat both Acura and BMW in price and options avaible. I got the car for my wife. I wanted a safe, but still a stylish car with performance that I would enjoy driving, when allowed. It holds up to most of my expectations. I really like the interior styleing of the instrument cluster, aluminum pedals, etc. I have no real complaints, as far as what the car is meant to be. But, I say "BUT." It is not a race car. Even with it''''s take off of "Triptronic shifting." It is not a Porsche by any means. Good passing ability on the freeway, but would have a hard time keeping up with any true sports car in the twisties." In reality it "Looks" faster than it is. The engine out powers the chassis when pushed. And it isn''''t like it has 450 horsepower. I guess that is why it has an almost "Cadillac" feel on the highway. In closeing, good looking, fair performance, reliabilty, I hope. Good compact luxry car for those who want the edge of a performance look. But don''''t buy one thinking you are going to have a true sports machine. You''''ll look silly loseing a road race to a normally asperated ''''87 mazda RX-7. Not to mention a true european sports car.

The Defiler

Strength:

The IS300 is extremely stable entering and exiting corners at high speeds. Very good horsepower and excellent brakes.

Weakness:

By no means is the IS300 a fuel efficient car. It''s certainly not inexpensive.

Having had the IS300 for over a year now I can honestly say that it took me eight months before I was comfortable really pushing the car anywhere close to it''s limits. The IS300 is an absolute screamer around sharp corners,I usually apply just a touch of brake before going in and then apply full throttle and I still haven''t even pushed the car 80 or 90% grip, it''s that stable! The Lexus is an absolute wonder in traffic with it''s combination of excellent feedback, grip and acceleration it''s very easy to make tight and quick passes while driving to work. With traction control engaged the Lexus has awesome wet weather stability and behaves predictably and confidently while attempting to pass slower traffic on rain soaked highways. There are some people who say that there are better values out there, however even after having the Lexus for over a year I am still exploring the IS300''s very high handling limits. I find it difficult to believe that anyone who has ever taken an IS300 close to 80% of it''s performance envelope would not be impressed. Admitedly there are many cars which can get you from point A to B for far less, but unless your willing to explore the IS300 performance envelope,it''s probably best to stick with a Honda Civic. The IS300 is a car built for those who truly appreciate driving and are willing to push the performance envelope even slightly.

Strength:

Fun to drive, Lexus quality, good looking car.

Weakness:

Overpriced...There are alot of cars out there that equal the IS300 for less money. Just spend the extra 1,000 and buy a BMW 330.

Bad, this car is an overpriced Toyota (it looks like a Honda). My wife recently leased this vehicle, I lease an Infiniti G20 and own a 97 Corvette. Believe it or not the G20 matched up with the IS300 on everything except power. IS300 does have good acceleration and is fun to drive.

Strength:

Low end torque, gas mileage, handling, safety features, idiot proof driving with traction control on, handy "off" button for traction control. My kids like it, my wife thinks it''s too fast.

Weakness:

Traction control defaults to "on", air defaults to "recirculate" when car is turned off. Clutch slips on hard acceleration in 1st gear. Odd scraping noise in driveline in first 10 feet driven after starting car. Engine has nothing on top end, even with VVT-i. My Integra used VTEC technology much better. No auto-up on drivers window, no auto-anything on font passenger''s window. ( My wife''s PT Cruiser has auto down on both front windows)

Nice car. Entertaining, comfortable, and cool. People think it costs more than it does, which I don''t like. I don''t understand mileage complaints, I''m getting 20-21MPG in town with the 5-speed, and I drive this car hard. Handles well, very quiet and smooth, lots of torque. This car seems to say " No need to prove anything, just get there quickly and enjoy the ride ", whereas my Integra GS-R seemed to be egging me on to the top of its nearly 8000 RPM redline. Seems to be built better than european sedans, but not as pretentious. People who want status conferred to them by their car will not appreciate this vehicle. People who enjoy driving will enjoy this vehicle
