Strength:

Taunt handling
Quiet
Sweet Mid-range power
Beautiful interior
Loves to go fast

Weakness:

Weak low-end power

I was happy with my loaded 97 Mercury Sable until I saw this baby sitting on the lot. There are is no Acura dealership within 200 miles of Peoria, so CL's are somewhat rare. For vainity's sake, I had to have the car. At first I was rather disappointed as the CL didn't seem much more powerful than the Sable around town. Both are rated at 200 hp, but I thought weight would make a bigger difference. That was before I hit the backroads a couple of days later. In the mid-range this car is a different animal. This car responds so wonderfully that I have a hell of a time trying to behaive. I find myself trying to find new and interesting routes to and from work. So this is what they call driving pleasure.

Model Reviewed: Acura CL

Strength:

Power, Comfort and quality.

Weakness:

Turns like a large sedan. The turning ratio can be tighter. The gas consumption appears to be a bit high.

Have had this vehicle for a week. I am used to Sport cars, but I needed a daily driver sedan for work. I can say, overall Very Nice car. I have had the vehicle 1 week and I am still finding nice new things about the vehicle.

Model Reviewed: CL-S

Strength:

Near perfection.

Weakness:

Could use a half inch in headroom, and a stealth subwoofer.
Could alway use more power, but with Comptech package, I'm ok.

Today is August 22, 2001. In August 2000, I started shopping for a new car. I test drove the 01 BMW 330Ci, 01 Acura CL, 01 Acura CL-S, & 01 Mercedes CLK320, & Corvette. All were excellent cars. In the end, I went with the new 2001 BMW 330Ci. After a year I found myself back at the Acura store, test driving the CL-S once again, (Could not get the CL-S out of my mind.). So, to make a long story short, I recently sold my 2001 BMW 330Ci, and I am now waiting for the 2002 CL-S to arrive. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed my bimmer, and I have gained an all new respect for BMW, but , , ,
Acura has truly captured my heart, and with a Comptech package, I will be at 290 heart stopping Horse Power! and still under warrenty. Long live Acura, and God help me.
